That Summer Break. Alive Mari AU

second day.

Kel's pov

I hear my alarm go off. I tried to raise my hand so I could get it to stop ringing. I can't. My body. Feels so heavy and hot. I feel like I'm burning. "Hero?" I try to say, but my throat can't get it out, so it ends up sounding like,"He...".

I turned around in my bed so I could see Hero. He isn't in his bed.

I hear mom, dad, Hero, and Sally from downstairs. Oh yeah, mom, dad, and Sally are leaving for a trip today. I should go say goodbye.

I try to get up again, I still can't. Oh god, I feel dizzy. Everything turns black around me.

Hero's Pov

Mom, dad, and Sally walk out the door. "Bye, sweetie! Remember to take care of Kel, okay?" Mom says. "I will, bye!"

I find it kinda weird that Kel is still asleep. Usually, he gets up early so he can go for a morning walk. I decided not to go wake him up, letting the boy sleep. (Oyasumi)

I see a text from Mari: "Hey >_< when are we gonna meet? <3" I smile at her message."You guys can come over whenever. Kel is still asleep, but I'm sure it's not a problem," I answer.

So time basses by, and I hear a knock on the door. I open it, "Hey Mari and Sunny, come on in!" I say while the siblings walk in. Mari's beautiful purple hair is a bit wet. "It's already raining," she says when I look at her hair. Seems like Sunny had a hood to cover his head.

"Where is Kel?" I hear Sunny's quiet voice. "I believe that he is still asleep. You can go check on him." After I said that, Sunny walks upstairs and leaves me and Mari just with each other. I smile at her.

Sunny's pov

I'm at the door, Kel should be sleeping behind it. Should I knock? Yeah, I should. I knock on the door, no answer. I knock again, still nothing. I open the door and peek in. "Kel?"

I'm sitting next to Kel's bed. He seems to be asleep. I try to shake him awake, nothing. Is he dead? No, he can't be. "Keell?"

It's been over 10 minutes, and I'm bored. But Kel looks really cute when he sleeps. But wait...why is his face so red and his arm is really hot too..

"I'm pretty sure he has a fever." Hero says, I asked him to check up on Kel because I started to get worried. "Oh, poor boy," Mari says. I see Kel's eyes open slowly. "Huh?"

Kel's pov

Sunny is sitting next to my bed. He is holding my hand. Wow. Mari and Hero are standing on the other side of my bed. "What is going on?" I say really quietly, I can't talk any louder. "You have a fever, but don't worry, we will take care of you." Hero says.
I feel a bit embarrassed that Sunny has to see me like this. He is holding my hand and looking at me. Oh god, I love him. Wait, what did I say? No, he is just my friend.

I hope I'm not making Sunny uncomfortable by looking at him. Is he just so lookable? Mari and Hero discuss something with Sunny, but I won't bother listening. Sunny is way more interesting than whatever they are talking about. Oh god what, he definitely isn't just a friend.

Sunny's pov

Poor Kel. I feel really bad for him. I just want to be with him all day and make him feel better. How could I do that? Mari and Hero thought that it would be best if we didn't invite Aubrey and Basil, and I think it's for the best since Kel is so sick.

I noticed Kel's eyes have got bit red. "Kel?" "Hmm Sunshine" he answers while smiling, and then he falls asleep. He acts like he is drunk... but I think that's normal if you have a high fever?

I wrap Kel's blanket around the boy. I want him not to be cold. "Sunny.." "Sunny, I'm cold, " Kel stutters."I'm wrapping the blanket around you right now, Kel, " I say and can't stop myself but smile. I love to help people. "I want cuddles," Kel stutters. "Hm, uh." I looked around the room, Mari and Hero left a while ago to watch a movie downstairs, Sunny wanted to stay with Kel. "Please.."Well, uh, sure."

Kel's pov

I wake up, and I feel a lot better. I feel someone's arms hugging me. I turn around, and they are Sunny's. I feel the heat on my face.

Sunny wakes up. "Oh no, I fell asleep," He complains. "Are you feeling better, Kel?" He asks while getting up. "Uh, yeah," I answer. "Do you want to go downstairs or stay here? Are you hungry? Thirsty?" Sunny asks so many questions. "Uh yeah, sure, let's go downstairs," I answer only one of his questions.

We walk downstairs, and Sunny holds my hand. We arrive in the living room where Hero and Mari are. "Oh, hello there, boys," Mari says while smiling. "Are you feeling better, Kel?" I just nod, I don't feel like talking. Hero gets up and hugs me. "Glad that you feel better."  "He was almost sick himself while worrying about you," Mari laughs.

Timeskip! No-ones pov

Sunny and Mari decide to stay over the night at Hero's and Kel's house since their parents aren't home. They got their stuff from home, ate dinner with Kel and Hero and then watched a movie. Kel and Sunny fell asleep in the middle of watching. Hero and Mari just looked at the two adorable boys hugging each other and sleeping. Hero also fell asleep before Mari. Mari kisses goodnight on his forehead and closes her eyes.
