CHAPTER 16

It's been a month since I saw Tina, nothing really exciting has happened after that day, Mrs Trisha didn't go on any more trips, but she was always in the office, Trevor too has been caught up with work, I finally met Diana, she is a sweetheart, she reminds me of my mom and she has been pampering me since she found out I was pregnant. It has just been me and her stuck in the house, Trev tries to be back early to keep me company tho, we have bonded more and I really look forward to our night conversations, I have gotten to know so much about him and him about me, Starr came last weekend with cherry, but Starr has exams now and I want her to focus, so yeah, it's just me now.

Right now, I'm alone in the house, Diana just left for home. My safe zone is the  ter​race, I'm currently seating there just looking at the beauty of New York and sipping juice.

I look down at my tummy, it was already getting pulp, yup she growing fast, Trev was so happy to see my bump last week, I think it grew bigger during the weekend, can't wait for him to come home so I can show him the improvement.

"Speak of the devil though" I smile to my self as I see his car speeding into the entrance.

I gently lift my self and head to the foyer.

"Hi baby mama"
Trev say, dropping his bag on the waiting couch .
"Miss me?" He says, placing a light feathery kiss on my forehead.
He has been doing that lately, before he goes to work and when he gets back, and I would be lying if I say I don't enjoy it.

"Of course I miss you, I was home alone" I say pouting like a kid.

He just laughed

" Go freshen up, I made you dinner"

" You really should not be stressing your self, I could make dinner you know?"

" But you made dinner last night, I don't want to feel like a bag of potatoes, just useless seating around doing nothing"

"How's she doing in there?" His hands slipping into my big shirt to touch my bare tummy

"She's growing fast, look the bump increased, you see it?" I had to lift up my shirt so I could have a good look

"Wow, four months down now, we are in the fifth month?"

"Yup, come eat"

"But I'm really not hungry, let's go to the terrace, I just want to relax and spend time with my baby"

"She can't even hear you yet"

"Oh she can, we communicate pretty well you know"

"Oh really?"
I just had to laugh, he has been talking to her like she can actually hear him, it's really sweet.

Like the other nights, with Trevor seating on the couch, I seat in between his legs with my back against his chest and his hands wrapped around my bare tummy, bliss… that all I could feel, I have never been comfortable so close to a man, but this moment is what I look forward to every day.

I couldn't help but think that, in 4 months, this would be over, I would be back to my normal life, without Trevor, with out Diana, without Tina, without the baby-

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing really, I can't just help but think all these would come to an end soon. "

"Oh so you would miss me?"
He teased I can swear there is a smirk on his face .

" Proud much? Maybe a little,I'll miss these moments, the talk in the terrace, she in my belly, mrs Diana ,this whole situation, I never really had friends growing up, it was just Starr and cherry, apart from cherry, you are the only one I have had conversations with, like meaningful conversations and I'll miss that"
