"Hello ma'am, what would you like to order?"

" I'll have  the night special, it late night pancakes right?"

The man gave me a fake smile and handed the menu back to me.

"So just pancakes right?"

" It's a special menu, I want everything that comes with it not just pancakes"

He says shooing me away with his hands

Customers sometimes can be a pain in the but I already had a lot on my plate.

I got a call earlier today saying Mrs kings was back so I resume work tomorrow, I am still thinking of the best way to approach her for a loan for Starr's surgery.

I have worked for her for 2 years now, that's enough for her to loan me...right?

I go get the grumpy man's order

" Here you go sir"

" Just drop it and leave, can't you see I am busy"

I roll my eyes and drop his order

Sometimes I just want to hit some customers on the head and yell at them but I can't, I still need this job so bad .

Leaving him, I hear my phone ring 

Seeing the caller, I take off my apron and sign out saying a few goodbyes before heading out.

Getting out side, I see cherry in her car honking like a mad woman

" She always has to be extra" I say to my self before getting in

" What took you so long? I have been waiting like forever" she saying pouting her lips like a little child 

I chuckle lightly " you called me 4 minutes ago cherry"

" Exactly what i'm saying, forever"

" Just drive cherry would you?"

Then she start telling me about this hot looking dude she ran into but I was to preoccupied to listen.

 " You don't seem like you had a good day today" cherry said sparing me a glance before looking back to the road.

 I smiled halfheartedly at her " is it that obvious?"

Cherry nodded her head and gave me a worried look "are you ok Vee, I am talking about a hot cake I saw today, topics like this makes you laugh and call me crazy but you are not even listening to me, are you okay?"

 I nodded my head and flashed her a smile

" I'm fine, just a little tired that's all"

She didn't look convinced

" You know you can tell me anything right?"

I knew i could, but I wasn't even sure of the step to take so telling her would be of no use, but knowing Cherry she would not give up until she gets something out of me

" The thing is, I am planning on asking my boss for a loan for Starr's surgery but I don't know if she would give me or even listen to me"

" Well we will never know if you don't ask, just tell her, she could be of assistance and there is nothing to lose"

" You sure?"

" She might be indecisive and cold but you said it your self, she is not that bad right? give it a try vee"
