when it's the end of the day , around 3 pm, and everyone is about to leave the set, the social worker gets here.
lisa squeezes my hand in reassurance .
i end up telling the social worker everything, and they believe me, especially because of how bad my parents acted.
they say that they'll arrest my parents for now, bc they pleaded guilty to everything. and lisa tells them about how she wants to foster me.
they have to let me stay with a foster family already registered until they can get lisa registered , but that only takes a week. i still get to come to set , because i'll be a returning member of the show. things are finally starting to turn out for me , i think. and plus, i love this cast so much. i'm so excited to party with them and work with them and make jokes with them and oh , my god what if i get invited to an awards show??!!
when the social worker has left , i get nervous that the cast hates me for needing this help, what if i'm too needy? what if they don't want to work with someone who has issues? i calm myself down , and remember that this cast is quite literally about helping kids . there's no way they'd judge me, i mean, right? lisa comes back , and asks if she can give me a hug. i tell her yes . she says she's so proud of me, and the rest of the women of the cast come up to me and say the same.
lisa has apparently ordered lemonade and cupcakes for everyone to celebrate my first day on set, which makes me feel a lot happier and better .
red velvet, too . how did she know my favorite flavor?
we all celebrate first, before i have to move into the foster home. it's fun, and i even get to choose the music. taylor swift , of course. i don't care if it's basic. it's the perfect soundtrack for celebrating , and especially for big changing moments like this. shake it off comes on and we all dance and jump and scream our lungs out . i'm glad they all like taylor , too. it's nice having the spotlight on me , like this. but i hope they know how great they are , too. and how much it feels like they're going to end up changing my life.
