Jayden' pov
I had just closed my eyes when a voice startled me in the distance
But not any voice.Kianora's voice.
I whipped my head around so fast I'm afraid I might have broken it.
"I should have never let you drag me here." I hear her groan at who I'm assuming the blond girl next to her is Amber, whom blows her a kiss before taking off in direction of the entertainment.
I turn around slightly as I hear another groan, and when I peak a glance at her face, I'm not surprised to see a scowl on it.
I smile at her never ending denamour, when she whips here head up, meeting my eyes. My face is devoid of any emotion as I see her take me in. She eyes me carefully before making her way in the opposite direction from where I'm sitting.
Just as she's about to open the door, someone comes from behind it, nearly making her fall.
Turns out this person is Terik and I'm not able to hear any of the things he mutters in her ear, yet I can hear her let out a loud breath, clearly annoyed at whatever he's saying.
I look at her face carefully, managing to catch her roll her eyes as Terik mock-kiss her on the cheeks, stopping his mouth half an inch from her skin.
I hold my breath as I see her smile softly, a rare sight so I make sure I analyse the way her lips tip upward and the tinkle of the eye I'm seeing, only able to see one side of her face from how they're standing.Terik goes back inside about at the same time she turns to face me yet avoids eye contact the whole way she's walking in her high heels to me.
My eyes don't move from her face and I know she sees it when a little smirk takes place on her features.
She looks briefly at the stall next to me where Cara was previously sat, but decide against it.
She awfully likes to bet against all odds.
To not do what everybody will have done.
And weirdly, that's one of the aspect of her character that I can stand the most.
Yet, when she uses the stall as a stair and sit on the counter in diagonal of me, this is when it becomes complicated to like the uncertainty of her choices as her bare legs simultaneously hang in front of me, dangling on top of my lap and she finally make eye contact with me, pinning me in front of her with her gaze.
"What do you want?" She says, yet it sounds like anything but a question, a cool look on her face, nor cold nor warm, somewhere in between.
"What?" I narrow my eyes at her.
"Well, you were the one looking at me, correct?" She arch an eyebrow.
"False. I was looking at Terik."
"No, before."
"I was looking at Amber."
"That wasn't Amber."
Really?
"I was looking at the blond girl."
Whoever that was.
"Oh yeah? We both know you don't like blonds." She smirks.
"And you said you didn't, yet we both remember that crush on the beach guy." I laugh at the memory of the school trip we took a while back and when she did everything she could to attract the guy's attention, even asking me to talk to him about it since he was my friend at the time.
Little did she knew he was already way too attracted to her already.
"Ok, first, that rule got one exception," yes, how could I forgot that fictional character she was talking about for no apparent reason from time to time.
