Gus was still waiting for Luz after the Mattholomule interaction. After a couple of minutes, Luz came running around the block and apologized.
"Luz, it's okay!" Gus chuckled.
"Alright, Gus. Let's go then. Or should we go shopping? I have like $40" Luz digged in her pockets. Gus nodded. "Let's go to Hot Topic." Luz started walking but Gus stayed behind for a minute. He wouldn't have admitted this out loud but he was looking for Mattholomule. He wanted to talk to him about fantasy stuff. Since him being youngest, others would tease him about it and him liking fantasy stuff. He had never met another person who had liked fantasy other than Luz, who was too busy to talk about that stuff.
"Gus!" Luz yelled. Gus snapped out of his trance for a minute.
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay? You've been staring off into the distance for a long time." Gus nodded. "Okay, well let's go into Hot topic then." As they were walking in, Gus noticed Mattholomule walking in Hot topic as well. He didn't pay mind to it though.
"I'm gonna go over here, Luz. Message me if you need something." Gus walked over to wear they had pins. They sometimes had bisexual pins and Gus was bisexual so he wanted to see if they had any. He finally noticed one. It had a frog in front of the bi flag. He went to grab it but someone's hand brushed against his. He looked up and saw Mattholomule. "Oh, hi Mattholomule!" Gus said. "Did you want this?" Mattholomule didn't say anything at first he just stared at the pin.
"Oh uhm no it's fine Augustus. I didn't know you're bisexual?"
"Oh yeah hah, I just figured it out." They just stood in silence for a little bit until Luz ran up to them.
"Hey, Gus! Oh who's this?" She said, pointing at Mattholomule.
"His name is Mattholomule! He's from the Battle of the bands I guess? I dunno."
"Oh cool cool. So y'all friends? Oh! Mattholomule wanna come to our hotel and hang out?"
Mattholomule turned a very light pink so you could barely see it. "If that's alright with you guys. I just have to ask Steve." He grabbed his phone and started messaging Steve.
Steve
Hey, Steve. Can I go hang out with one of my friends?
Uh, sure. Just come home before 9.
Mattholomule smiled and grabbed the pin.
"You can have the pin. It's not for me, I'm gay but uh yeah." He chuckled. He grabbed Gus's hand and out the pin in his hand.
"Oh, okay!" Gus went up to pay for the pin when Luz scooted closer to Mattholomule.
"Soo, y'all friends orr?" She raised an eyebrow and nudged Mattholomule.
"We're just friends!" He chuckled nervously. "And what did you say your name was?"
"It's Luz."
"Ah okay."
"Hey, guys. I'm back. How about we go to put hotel and practice for the battle of the bands?" Gus asked. Luz and Matt both nodded. As they walked to the bus stop, they were talking about this new book series called "Witches and Demons." It was a story about how a 15 year old human went into a demon realm and needs to get back to her dad.
A/n idk if y'all seen the new episode yet but I'm still gonna call Mattholomule that cuz his last name is apparently tholomule.
They finally stopped at the bus stop and got on. Luz went the the far back and sat there. She extended her legs out so Matt would have to sit next to Gus. Luz quickly fell asleep even though it's been like give minutes. Gus wanted to listen to music but decided not to.
"Uh, if you want I can let you borrow witches and demons!" Gus smiled.
"That'd be nice. I've been wanting that book for a long time. Since it came out I think. Uh, thanks."
It had been ten more minutes until they finally came to their stop.
"Luz, wake up. We're here." Gus started shaking Luz awake. She bolted up and ran out of the bus. Gus and Matt followed after her. They walked into the hotel in complete silence. They finally got into their room to find Hunter and Willow asleep. Of course in different rooms because the boys have one room and the girls have one. Hunter had a basket next to him and a heating pad on his forehead. Hunter probably fell asleep first.
"Should we still practice? They're asleep so what should we do?" Gus pointed at Hunter and Willow in the other room.
"Oh! I say a room that was empty in the lobby! It said you could use it for anything just don't be loud I think." Luz exclaimed.
"Oh, Luz do you wanna look and ask if we could use it?" Gus sat down on the red couch. And Matt sat next to him. Luz ran outside while shutting the door. The slam of the door was so loud that Willow woke up and saw Gus and Matt.
"Uhh, who's he?" She asked, rubbing her eyes because she was clearly tired.
"My name is Mattholomule." He smiled at her. She smiled back.
"Well nice you meet you. Are you in the battle of the bands?"
"Uh yeah. Me and three other people."
"Cool! I think you go before us."
They all sat in silence until Luz busted into the room. "THEY SAID YES AND THEY WILL LET US BORROW SOME OF THEIR INSTRUMENTS!" Luz panted. She was clearly running. Hunter wasn't asleep anymore and was walking over to the group.
"Oh yay! You're awake. Let's gooo!" Luz started to run while the group followed her. They went into the elevator and they all were kinda squished. They finally got into the room and many instruments. Guitars, drums, electric guitars, keyboards and other. The group stared in awe before Luz went and grabbed drum sticks and staring using them but quickly sat up and walked over to the group.
"Wait, where's Amity?" Willow asked. Most of the group just shrugged.
Barging into the room, Amity yelled, "I'M HERE! SORRY!"
"Sweet potato!" Luz went up and hugged Amity super tight. She kissed Amity on her cheek, making Amity turn a bright pink.
Agh, that's kinda annoying. But also cute. I'd kill to have a relationship like that. Mattholomule smiled as he thought that. Gus noticed him smiling. He has a nice smile. I like it.
"Uh, what do y'all play again?" Hunter asked all of the teens.
"I wanna play the drums!" Luz exclaimed.
"I will play keyboard." Willow said.
"I kinda play the guitar." Gus smiled.
"I play the electric guitar. And kinda sing. " Mattholomule said, pointing to where the guitars were.
"Hunter? What do you play? And you, Amity?" Willow asked. They both shrugged.
"We could sing..?" Amity suggested.
"That's not a bad idea!"
"So we'll do that." Amity looked towards the side and smiled at Luz and Willow. "We should probably start practicing..." Everyone scrambled to get their instruments and Gus got out some chairs and stands for their sheet music.
I wonder how Matty sings. I bet he sings amazingly. And he's probably really talented. Will he care if I call him Matty? Oh whatever it's just my mind anyways. Gus looked up and saw Matt getting a black electric guitar and he sat down. He looked around for a book but couldn't find one, so he decided to just go at it. surprising almost everyone there, Mattholomule was pretty good at playing the guitar. Gus looked up in amazement and blushed a little. Oh wow. He's actually really good.
Mattholomule finally looked up and saw that everyone was staring at him.
"Uh, what's wrong? Why are you all staring at me like that?" He tried not to stare at Gus because he'd probably turn a bit pink.
"It nothing bad it's just- you're really good, Matty." Gus said. Mattholomule blushed a little but he was behind his guitar so Gus and the others wouldn't see.
"Thanks, dork."
