(Gus's POV)
"Alrighty! So, we sound alright. How do y'all think we sound?" To others, it sounded like she wasn't lying, but I knew Luz for a long time, she was definitely lying.
"Well, I think I'm gonna switch to your guys group! We sounded great for beginners! is it okay if I'm the only singer too? I'll do a lot better if I'm the only one! " Mattholomule smiled. He was sitting on a gray metal chair with his electric guitar and microphone taller than him cuz he was sitting. (Obviously) Luz was at the drums, Willow was sitting at the keyboard, and I was sitting at a wooden chair. Hunter wasn't with us because he slept in late and we didn't want to wake him up. Amity was in the doorway because she wasn't gonna play with us, she was just gonna watch sadly.
"Of course!" Amity was the decided manager for our group.

"Aaaah! We sound so good!!!" I flapped my hands around my legs for a minute before stopping because everyone was staring at me. I blushed in embarrassment. It was something I did often but not in front of others because they would just stare at me.
"Hmm, should we go practice in front of Ms. Lilith for like a practice version?" Amity asked, her finger on her chin. Hunter game rushing into the room with a microphone. "I'm here! Sorry!" He exclaimed, running over to his spot.
"Duh! Let's do it now!" Luz excitingly yelled out. "Oops too loud" she giggled. Everyone nodded and walked outside with their instruments. Except for Luz obviously. I ran inside to ask Lilith if it was okay, and she nodded. Luz sat on the drums that we're already set up for her on great far right corner. We all decided that we would all do the humming parts in our song so that Matty could have a break. We all sat up our instruments and waited for Luz to start her cue. "I've been sleeping in a cardboard box, Spending every dollar at the liquor shop" Mattholomule sang out as he played his instrument. I stared at Lilith, who looked surprised at our playing. I played my guitar "Don't worry I will never let you down, let you down. Don't worry I will never let you down." He shut his eyes as he sang the rest of the song. "So many ladies are waiting for mated And the prospects are good but the dates never great." He took a deep breath before singing, "over here, over there, over where? Anywhere" I was staring at Mattholomule. He sounded so good, his singing was amazing. "They're too busy with winning the bidding to care." Willow, Luz, Hunter, and Matty all sang "And he's sold." After a couple of seconds, Lilith clapped and smiled at us. "Y'all sound great! I'm not the judge for the battle of the bands so just be prepared!" Lilith put one of her hands on her hips and the other one to grab her brown clip board. "There's just one thing," she looked up from her clip board, "what's going on with this uh, arrangement? " she pointed towards Willow, Hunter, and Matty. I thinks she meant their singing and/or the microphones. The microphones were like hanging above their heads but upside down, so it was closer to their mouths. "Well, they wanted to try something different from other bands." Amity replied, you could tell she was nervous since she was holding Luz's hand tightly. Luz also looked like she was holding her breath, her face was turning purple.
"Ah, okay great." Lilith wrote something down. "And for Mattholomule, you're changing groups?" She looked back up at up, yawning.
"Well, there's only three people in that group. Um, actually, is it okay if I do both groups?" Matty kept staring at the ground. "Sorry." He muttered.
"Okay yeah! We can do that!" She smiled. "Okay, y'all are all ready! Now here's your options, you can keep practicing, orrr you can bring your instruments to a rack over there," she pointed towards the door where there were racks outside, "and just hang out, do whatever you teenagers do." She laughed.
(10 minutes later 3rd person POV)
"I'm so glad that we're done practicing!" Luz exclaimed, stretching her arms out. They were in the hotel room and just around the room. "Now, who wants to go out to eat?"
"I have to go practice with my other teammates. Sorry" Mattholomule spoke, he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"Oh it's fine, don't worry!" Amity smiled warmly at him. "We'll just go there and when ur done, you can come back to us and hang out. There's only 4 more days left, I think we're doing good."
"Oh okay, thanks." Mattholomule ran out of the room and left.
"Soo, Gus." Luz and Willow ran over to him with a 😏 face.
"Um, yeah?" He laughed at them.
"How do you feel about him?" Gus immediately blushed when they said that.
"He's just a friend?" He very obviously lied.
"Mk. Surrrrreee. Let's go eat at red cactus." They all agreed and left.
