(Rimuru's Perspective)
Right now, Ciel-san and I are riding our Tempest Wolves through the forest, continuing north along the Ameld river
We have told our wolves to go at around half of their top speed, since we needed to reach Dwargon in about 6 days
Until now, around 5 days have passed since our departure, so they have stopped holding back and are now running at full speed
In the previous timeline, I had arrived at Dwargon in about 3 days, but since in this timeline, the direwolves attacked the goblin village earlier, we will need to slow down a bit in order to follow the previous timeline as closely as possible
Yes, we could use Space-Time Domination, but that way, Ciel-san wouldn't experience travelling via Tempest Wolf, so that's a hard pass
We were following the Ameld river, because it prevented us from getting lost
Not that we could get lost, since our Universal Perception and the physics magic, Argos, can pretty much map out the whole area with ease
It's just that, since I took this route in the previous timeline, we decided to go with it again
Since the Tempest Wolves are going with half of their maximum speed, it is easy to make out and digest the scenery
On our right, there was a lush green forest, with a huge number of really tall trees and a few flowers appearing here and there
And on our left, wide river with crystal clear waters expanding into the horizon
And in the distance in front of us, the Canaat mountains could be seen from afar
Looking at Ciel-san's facial expression, she was being overwhelmed with a multitude of emotions
Seeing her like that brought a smile to my face
Every day, we stopped at least twice for food breaks and we didn't continue traveling at night
That is to slow us down even further, so that we would arrive at the right time
Normally, at a goblin's pace, the trip to the Dwarf Kingdom takes about two months
There are many countries surrounding the Great Forest of Jura
To the east, the Eastern empire
To the north, the Armed Nation of Dwargon
To the west, various Western States, along with the Kingdom of Blumund, and...the kingdom of Farmus
And to the south, the Capital of the forgotten dragon, the land of puppets Jistav, the Beast Kingdom Eurazania and the Harpy country of Fulbrosia
Also, in-between the west and the south, the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion also borders the Great Forest of Jura
However, the Armed Nation of Dwargon and the Easterm Empire don't border almost any of the other countries
As such, there are only three commonly used trade routes leading to them
One goes right through the Jura forest
Another, the hardest, traverses the mountains
And lastly is a sea route
Currently, the Jura forest route is by far the shortest and the safest, but, for some reason, it's generally avoided
And so, the harder mountain route had been the norm
As for the sea route, the cost and the powerful sea monsters steer sailors away, thus, it is the least used route
This fact is one of the reasons as to why Tempest flourished so much
