(A/N : Quick question. Should I be writing it as 'King Gazel', or 'Gazel-ou'? What do you guys prefer?)

(Rmuru's Perspective)

Two hours had passed

It was almost time for Kaijin's trial to start

Although, there was something weighing on my mind right now

"Hey, Ciel. Has the armoursaurus incident happened yet?" I asked curiously

"It has already happened, Rimuru-sama. But it was when we were sleeping. The 3 Dwarves that took the place of Garm, Dord and Myrd were wounded and are currently next to death." She replies

"Ah, I see"

What? You think that's cold?

If it isn't my friends and family that are in trouble, there is no reason for me to even lift a finger

I'm already past that naïve ideology

As we had that small exchange, a small screen appeared in front of us

It showed Kaijin and the other 3 dwarves getting pulled outside their cell by guards

The small screen was produced by my physics magic, Argos

After a while of walking, they were brought in front of the King

The Heroic King of the dwarves

Gazel Dwargo closed his eyes and sat deeply upon his throne

He was stocky, dwarflike in appearance, and his exposed armor-like muscles positively radiated energy. His skin was a deep, dark brown, and his black hair was pulled back on his head

Two knights were stationed near him, one on each side. They were equally muscle-bound, no doubt, but they still looked wispy compared to their ruler

A man knelt in front of the king, checking over something with him. After receiving permission, he stood up and read the affidavit

"We will now begin the trial! Silence, everyone!"

And for the next hour, both sides would present their cases

The criminal suspects weren't allowed to speak during this time. In the royal court, that right was reserved for those with a rank of earl or greater. Otherwise, one needed the king's express permission. If one did speak out of turn, that apparently proved their guilt on the spot and earned them a bonus contempt-of-court charge

As expected of the Armed Nation of Dwargon. Strict as always

Whether one was innocent or not, that was the way this place worked

Kaijin and the others were stuck having their representative speak for them

"So there Sir Vesta was," he continued, "sitting back at this club and enjoying an alcoholic beverage, when this gang pushed their way into the place and exposed him to dreadful violence! This is not the kind of behavior that should ever be forgiven!"

But of course, the bastard's been bribed by Vesta

"Is that the truth?" King Gazel asked

Gazel was one hundred percent aware that the lawyer was bought, but he played the fool

"It is, my liege! I heard it from Kaijin himself, and I also have written testimony from the owners of the club. There can be no mistaking the course of events that night!"

And now he is spouting shit out of his ass

Great

It went without saying that representatives for the accused weren't allowed to lie in court. If they were found out, that would be another hanging. It was impossible to think any would-be lawyer would attempt it, barring extreme circumstances, and yet Kaijin's was blatantly doing it
