(3rd Person Perspective)

...

Was this the past?

......

Was this the future

.........

No one knows

............

An eerie silence reverberated throughout the place

Ruins. A wreck

Destroyed buildings

Destroyed roads

Destroyed

Everything

In the middle of the destruction, was a person

He was on his knees, tears rolling down his cheeks non-stop, however, no sobs could be heard

He hesitantly looked around, only to see the mountains of corpses and the devastating destruction

Within a moments notice, dark clouds covered the sky all over the world

And a heavy rain ensued

Black thunders falling continuously, their roars resounding through the night without any signs of stopping

The person then looked at his hands

There lay a woman. Her body supported by him

Looking at her eyes, an inescapable and absolutely overwhelming sense of dread overcame the man

In his mind, three emotions were raging uncontrollably

Unfiltered Rage. Unyielding Hopelessness. True Despair

The girl's eyes, which used to shine with a crimson red glamor, were now lifeless, devoid of any sense of being alive

The girl's eyes, which used to bring immense joy and happiness to the man, were no longer of this world

The man grieved

He grieved

And he grieved

But no matter how much he grieved, it was for naught

For she wouldn't and couldn't come back, since when a soul in its entirety dissipates into nothingness, anything would die. Even True Dragons would die, because the soul's entirety would include their True Dragon Core

But that was unacceptable

Because for the man, a life without her had no meaning

If she wasn't there, nothing would matter for the man

If she wasn't there, the man was better off dead, rather than living as an emotionless husk

"...Hold on now, I'm coming to join you, okay? I hope that you won't wait long" The man said as he lowered his face towards the woman's, interlocking their lips for one last time

After that, an influx of power could be felt

And when that influx calmed down, in the place where the man holding the woman was, nothing could be seen

Only a few particles of dust, being flushed out by the raging thunderstorm

(Ciel's Perspective)

My senses slowly return to me

My eyelids are heavy, and my body is sluggish

Just like every other time I wake up from sleeping

I slowly stood up straight, opening my eyes
