*DAVE'S POV*
"Do we really gotta be doing this shit, babe? I rather be out with Bashar and Shooter, doing some other shit."

I groaned as I followed Symphony all around the mall. This girl has been taking me all around this damn mall all day, since this morning. And she has YET to find herself an outfit.

Her family has this party this weekend she's bringing me along to. I pretty much get along with all of her family besides her older brother Clarence.

The younger one Jabril is cool with me. It's just Clarence.

"Yes, yes we do. I need to find the perfect outfit, this party is literally in two days."

"If you knew about this party since last month, why didn't you start shopping for your outfit last month then? Like a normal person would?"

"I got caught up with other things. You know how I can be. Don't question me, just help me. Or, no pussy for you tonight."

Symphony whispered the last part with a smirk on her face, continuing to walk through the store we were already in.

As I was following Symphony, my phone started to go off. Looking down, it was Shooter who was calling.

"Yo! Wassup, man?"

"Nigga, where you at? It's already almost boutta be four in the afternoon. Bashar and I have been waiting on you since this morning."

"I told you! My girl got me running up and down this damn mall with her. I been busy. She tryna find her damn outfit last minute for this family party she's taking me to this weekend."

"You ain't tell me you had somewhere to go this weekend."

"I definitely did, nigga. You just always too high to pay attention to what I'm saying."

"Aight, B. Imma just hit you later on then. Have fun with the wifey."

"Yeah, whatever."

I hung up the phone, putting it back in my pocket.

"Bae, I gotta go to the bathroom. I'll be right back."

"Okay, that's fine. I'll still be over here looking for an outfit."

Symphony said without looking at me. I then started walking to the bathroom when I heard a familiar voice.

"Dave?"

Turning around, I seen that it was my ex girlfriend Millie.

Millie was legit my everything, dawg

Millie was legit my everything, dawg.

The two of us dated from sixth grade until the graduation of high school. You wouldn't think relationships during that time period would even last, but it did.

Until I fucked it up, of course. I got caught up with Symphony her damn self the night of prom. Millie and I had a small argument, so I went turning to someone else for comfort. Which was the worst thing I could've did, because I lost the love of my life.

"Millie? Damn, girl! How you been? I ain't seen yo ass in a minute!"

I chuckled, walking closer to her as I gave her a tight hug. Millie hugged me back and smiled the most I've ever seen her smile since high school.

"I'm great! How are you? It's been so long, I haven't seen you since that summer after high school! We're all so damn grown now, shit."

"I know, it's been a long ass time! I'm doing good myself. Just being the same old Dave."

"I would hope you're not the same old Dave that I last seen."

"What chu mean by that..?"

"The pretty boy, cheating Dave. Well, you are still handsome as hell. But that cheating shit needed to stop."

"Man, I only cheated once. And it did stop. I'm a loyal nigga now."

I chuckled. Millie raised her eyebrows, giving me a serious look.

"So you're still with that Symphony hoochie?"

"We ain't solid. We go back and forth, but we been doing it for about six years. And why she gotta be a hoochie?"

I questioned with a laugh. Millie shrugged.

"Oh, I don't know. It's because hoochies are the bitches who sleep with females' boyfriends. She knew you were mine, but she still continued to sleep with you. On PROM night at that."

"Well, to be fair, it wasn't just all on her. A big part of that was my ass, too."

"Oh, I know. What are you doing here anyways? I never thought that I would see David Brewster just chilling around the mall."

"Trust me, I don't even wanna be here. Shorty dragged me along, she tryna find an outfit for this weekend. We have a family party of hers to attend to or some shit."

"Ha, that's actually pretty funny. Well, imma let you go. I have to get headed home now."

"Right. See you around?"

"You still have my number? It's the same one, just call or text me whenever you wanna see me."

Millie smirked and walked off, leaving me staring at her as she walked away and licking my lips.

Damn, that girl always seems to have a way with me...

"You telling me you made me walk all around that damn mall with you the entire day, just for you to find a simple ass dress you could've found at Walmart or some shit?"

I questioned as we were on the way home. I was pissed. Symphony made me spend the entire day with her at the mall, just for her to pick out some basic ass dress she could've found anywhere else.

"You're saying my dress looks like it could be from Walmart?"

"Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying! And there ain't nothing wrong with that! But you think after a day of shopping, you woulda been finding some designer clothing or some shit!"

"Nigga, fuck you! Do you have that designer money?!"

"I do, actually! I ain't no broke nigga, don't try to play me! But what I ain't Finna do is sit here and spend thousands on a damn dress you only boutta wear one damn time. Fuck that."

"Whatever. Drop me off to Lauryn's hair salon. I wanna see my bestie, plus I need to get my hair done."

"I'll be fucking glad to."

I mumbled as I continued to drive. Within about ten more minutes, we pulled up to Lauryn's hair salon.

Now I can go do what the hell I want with the guys.
