Chapter 5 - First day at UA

The sound of Y/Ns alarm blaring forcefully awoke him from his slumber, the birds were singing, the sun was shining... who was he kidding? He lives on the outskirts of a city for crying out loud, all he could hear was his annoying ass alarm and the sound of cars as people tried to get to work.

Groggily he unplugged his CSG and phone while he got out of bed, and started heading towards his dad's room to wake him up. After trying the gentle method, aka slight shaking, which didn't work, he resorted to his secret weapon.

Unlocking his phone, he searched through his audio files and found the one he was looking for almost immediately. Turning up the volume, he placed it by his dad's ear and allowed the sound of mosquitoes to fill the room.

His dad shot up out of bed, swatting his hands all around him until he realised the situation he was in... and he looked pissed.

"I'm making breakfast, be down as quick as possible!" Y/N announced, trying to conceal his laughter as he ran out of the room and down the stairs.

He decided on making some simple poached eggs on toast and got to cooking. He had just fished the eggs out of the water by the time his dad got downstairs, and served the food.

They ate in silence as Y/Ns dad was grumbling to himself, clearly still irritated.

After breakfast, Y/N excitedly ran upstairs, took a shower, brushed his teeth, placed his CSG on and activated it, and got dressed into the UA uniform.

The uniform consisted of some ugly green trousers, a white shirt, a grey blazer and a red tie. Not the best uniform, but not the worst in his opinion.

He packed spare energy supplies in his bag just incase his CSG stopped working and lost power, and headed downstairs once more.

"I'm off! Cya later dad, love ya!" Y/N yelled as he left the house. He could hear a muffled "love you too" from the living room as he closed the door.

He decided to walk to school since it wasn't too far, on the way he spotted Hitoshi walking in the opposite direction, but again chose to leave him be.

Other than that, the walk was as relaxed as possible, despite the large amount of people and the loud noises, but it was better than being squished in a train cart.

The crowds became less and less as he started nearing the school, quite glad of that fact, until the only people he could see were either pro heroes or wearing the same uniform as him.

If he remembered correctly, he was placed in class 1-B, and started wandering the halls of UA looking for it as soon as he arrived. It didn't take long, probably about 10 minutes tops, leaving him with 5 minutes left before class started.

'damn that door is huge' Y/N thought as he looked at the door made for a titan with 1-B painted on it. He opened the door and located his seat, observing his classmates. A couple stood out over the rest, a Tin-Tin looking boy with a strong build and happy-go-lucky attitude, a kid with lego???? as a head, and some others.

Y/N opted to just keep to himself, made it less likely for others to find out his secret. After a short while a cowboy-looking hero entered the classroom. "Good morning class, as you probably know I'm the pro-hero Snipe, and apart from being your homeroom teacher, I will be teaching you heroics along with Eraserhead"

Y/N quietly snickered to himself as some kids groaned as many thought maths wasn't a part of hero work.

"Everyone please leave your bookbags here, we have orientation to get to before we can start the school day" at this everyone stood up ans started walking towards the door. Y/N took note of Tin-Tin trying to talk to everyone and always. bloody. smiling. 'He's too bright, like the sun' Y/N thought 'seems like a chatterbox, i best avoid him'

Before he knew it Tin-Tin was standing infront of him, "Hey! My name's Mirio Togata, my quirk" he paused for dramatic effect, "permeation! i hope to control it someday haha, what about you?" "Shinsou Y/N" 'shit... what should i call mg quirk..?? hack?? no, too literal.. invisibility?? nah not specific enough... glitch??? yea, that should do' Y/N then noticed Tin-Tin, now known as Togata, looking at him expectantly and realised the silence, ".. my quirk is Glitch". At that he walked past and ended the conversation.

Once they reached orientation, Y/N noticed that blue haired girl, Hado??? her name was if he remembered correctly, talking to a kid with dark blueish-purple hair who kinda looked like an elf that wanted to disappear right there and then. He then noticed Togata joining them and started conversing with the elf boy. 'maybe they're friends already?'

Then Hado started talking to Togata, making a scene by how loud they were being. God Y/N felt bad for elf-boi, he could only be glad he was not there with them at that moment in time.

~ Timeskip - End of school day ~

Luckily, by the end of the day people noticed Y/Ns lack of motivation when communicating with his classmates and opted to leaving him to his own devices.

As the final be rang, Y/N grabbed his bookbag and was about to leave as he was stopped by Togata, who was determined to make everyone, and i mean everyone, his friend, if not at least friendly.

"So.. Shinsou, right? mind if i walk home with you? I'd like to know more about your quirk" Mirio smiled

"No need, we're probably not going in the same direction anyways" Y/N coldly shrugged him off.

"Well, I'm going to the train station, what about you? Mind if i bring a friend too?"

'Damn it, of course we're going in the same direction' "ummm.. ok yea sure" if only Y/N knew what he was agreeing to.

Turns out not only Y/N and Togata were going in the same direction, but also elf-boi and Hado who were waited for the duo at the school gates.

"Hey! Over here!" Hado yelled, gaining more people's attentions than intended, "Oh! you're the kid from the entrance exam! Sato, right? Your quirk is crazy powerful! What is it exactly? What can't you do? Is it purely tech related? Can you hack people or just robots?" to which Y/N just facepalmed.

"The names Shinsou, not Sato, and yes I can hack people but it's not very effective, let's get going" usually Y/N isn't this cold, but if his quirklessness gets out being at school anywhere, it'll be going to school here.

The group walked with Hado and Togata at the front chatting away like excited guinea pigs, and Y/N and elf-boi, who Y/N now knew as Amajiki Tamaki, in the back following silently.

The group parted ways as they reached the train station, with Y/N being the only one who didn't need to catch a train home. He said his goodbyes and headed home.

All he wanted to do once he got back was lay in bed and sleep, which is exactly what he did, already exhausted from one day.
