Miralei was now dead.

.

.

At least.

.

She thought she was.

She promptly opens her eyes and takes in her surroundings, breathing deeply. Her eyes welled up with tears as her heart continued to pound frantically. She repeatedly exhales and inhales as she feels her head explode inside. Tears streamed down her face, then onto the once-familiar grass, which had been replaced by dark abyssal flooring.

She pulls her head with both hands as she cries in pain, "GAHHHHHHH!" She was doing this while pulling her hair. She continued to cry as she struggled to avoid feeling weak, powerless, and most of all, afraid of what had just transpired.

It hurts.

It hurts.

IT HURTS!!!

It was too painful to bear. Her respiration and heart rate were very rapid. Her eyes began to avert backward as a result of the continued pounding in her brain. Her entire body trembles and collapses to the ground, leaving just her eyes visible as white.

She felt as if she was dying.

" Somebody help me..." she pleads, her voice hoarse.

" It hurts..."

Soon enough, an unfamiliar voice whispers in her ear.

" Calm yourself." They said.

But how was she even supposed to? Was what she wanted to reply. And soon enough, as if the voice heard this, they answered.

" Close your eyes until you do not feel the pain anymore. Then after that, take deep breaths. Everything will be alright..."

Gritting her teeth, she decides to do what the voice had told her. Having no other choice but to end the pain, she closes her eyes.

This went on for about three minutes.

And finally, her breathing started to slow down. She lay on the black flooring unable to move. Traces of her hair were found in the palm of her hands.

The only thing she was able to do was inhale and exhale. She then opens her eyes and stared at the black ceiling in front of her that was void of any light.

The place she was now inside of was an eternal abyss that extended infinitely. There was no light. No color.

Nothing at all.

Pure black.

First the forest then this?

Wherever she was, she couldn't help but feel alone in the vast space of darkness.

The voice hadn't even said a word. It merely left her side.

Regaining back her strength, she tries to get up little by little. She stands but then falls to her knees once more. Her tears stained her cheeks and made her eyes puffy.

"Ehhrghh" she groans.

She tries to stand once again and this time, she regains her balance.

She sighs in relief as she places her right hand on her heart. Her eyes then hovered as she observes the place she was in.

Not a light in sight, the darkness stretches out.

She gulps, the corner of her lips dragging downwards.
