CHAPTER 49

Eventually our Paris trip came to an end. I went back to managing my store and trevante went back to being the king pin. It was nice to forget about who we were back home for awhile but now it was back to business.

A month passed. No period just spotting.

Two months passed. No period at all.

It was finally time to take another pregnancy test. I had already knew that I was pregnant but I just had to be sure. Today I was going to my OBGYN to settle this once and for all.

" Well Mrs. Rhodes. You suspected right. You are roughly 8 and a half weeks pregnant. Congratulations. And here is your paperwork for proof that you are with child ", Doctor Clay handed me the paperwork as she congratulated me.

" Wow...", I looked down at the paper work.

" I'm gonna have to go a sonogram on you just to make sure that the baby is intact and on pace for growing. I remember you stating last time that you had a miscarriage a few months ago so let's just make sure that the little baby is healthy ", she got up from her chair.

" Wait ! I need my husband. He doesn't know that I'm pregnant. I'll be able to hear the heartbeat right? Today ? ", I suddenly felt very nervous.

" Yes. I'll give you some time to call him. Will 15 minutes be enough ", she looked up from her watched and back at me.

" Yes! That's all the time I need ", I picked up my phone and rushed outside to call trevante.

" Hello ", trevante answered the phone in an annoyed tone. His crew must have been cutting up.

" I'm in the doctors office. I'm in room 307. I'm fine but just get here ", I spoke quickly in the phone.

I added.

" You have 15 minutes ", I hung up the phone and waited for him.

10 minutes later trevante came walking into the doctors office and I led him down the hallway to my doctors office. I laid on the table and lifted up my shirt.

" What's going on ", trevante looked around confused.

My doctor just laughed and rubbed a cold gel on my stomach.

" Cold ", I shivered.

After a few seconds the doctor placed the ultrasound sensor against my stomach and rolled it around. When suddenly she found the heartbeat.

" That's your baby ", I heard a fast heartbeat and couldn't stop the tears from flowing out my eyes. I looked up at trevante who was still in shock. He looked between the sonogram, my stomach and my face.

" I- wow- ", trevante looked down at me and kissed my forehead and ran a hand over his face in disbelief.

" Wait ...", the doctor sounded confused.

" What is it ", I closed my eyes in fear.

" Congratulations Mr and Mrs. Rhodes. It looks like your having TWINS. The other little one was hiding behind the bigger one ", the doctor chuckled in relief.

" Oh my god ", I sobbed. I covered my hands over my face in disbelief. I had been blessed two times over. Now I had THREE babies. One in heaven and two with me.

" Holy shit ", trevante whispered under his breath as he cupped my face. His lips met mine and the doctor left the room to give us some privacy.

" You should call your mother. I know she wanted to be the first to hear ", i blotted my cheeks with a napkin, wiping my tears.
