CHAPTER 41

A baby ", I repeated myself as I looked at Tre with vulnerable eyes.

" I'll give you one I promi-", Trevante was cut off by the sound of my cell phone. He answered it on speaker phone.

" Hey it's joy ", joy spoke into then phone.

" Hey ", I was kind of disappointed by the interruption but I don't think I was in the mental state to do anything more than rest right now. I've been through so much these last couple of weeks.

" I know this is very last minute but do you think you could baby sit tomorrow. I just need you to take Lisa and joshua for about two days. I have to head to Louisiana for a funeral with Flaco and the baby isn't very good on flights. Plus I don't want her getting -", I cut Joy off.

" Of course. You know I love Lisa and josh. It's a pleasure to have them ", I grinned at the thought of my day spent with Lisa. She had just learned how to smile not shortly after Trevante and I left for the honeymoon.

" Thankyou. You're a lifesaver ", joy chimed into the phone.

" I'll see you then ", I hung up the phone and sighed.

" You up for baby sitting ", I grinned up at Tre.

" Yeah. It could be great practice I guess. It should be easy...I think ", Trevante walked over to the dresser and pulled out some clothes.

" Babies are a bit different. They do there own thing. They don't follow the plan per say ", I looked up at him with a smirk.

" I can handle it ", tre rolled his eyes.

"A little advice for tomorrow. Joshua's a runner ", I patted his back before turning over to go to sleep.

Waking up early wasn't new to me. I usually woke up early to get to the salon anyways but today's plans were a little different. I had Tiffany interview Kayla at the salon so that she would report back to me later. At 7:30 we headed to joys's house to pick up the kids. The baby and Joshua were surprisingly awake when we got there.

" Hey Auntie ! ", Joshua ran up to me and wrapped his arms around my knees.

Joshua was very excited to see us today. The baby was too busy drinking from her bottle to acknowledge us. Flaco was at the trap, of course. So we took the kids and said our goodbyes. Once we started driving, is when the real test began.

" Juice ? ", Joshua asked in his small voice for a juice box.

" In a minute josh. We're gonna go get breakfast okay ? ", I turned back to him and smiled.

" Okay ", he smiled back at me with a wide grin.

1 minute later....

" Juice ", Joshua asked in a small voice again.

" In a minute Joshua ", I used a calm voice with him.

2 minutes later....

" Juice ", Joshua used a louder voice now.

" In a few minutes I'll get you your juice okay ? ", I sighed.

" Okay ", Joshua went silent again.

1 minute later.

" Juiceee ", Joshua groaned.

" We're here. Thank the lord ", we pulled up to a restaurant and took the kids to have some breakfast. The baby was sleeping in her car seat, and Joshua sat in a hi-chair next to trevante.

" What's your name ", he patted trevante on the arm.

" I'm Tre. You met me before. On Christmas Day ", he smiled down at Joshua.
