Junhui's favourite thing to do was to spend a day off in the dorm, Minghao curled up in his arms while they both slept peacefully all day. They'd been promoting for weeks when they were finally told they got a day off to do what they liked. Of course, Junhui had instantly decided it would be a good day to keep Minghao for himself.
When Minghao woke up at six in the morning by force of habit, he was trapped in Junhui's tight but warm grip. Not wanting to wake up his sleeping boyfriend, he decided that Junhui's chest was good to bury his face in and went back to sleep.
Junhui woke up later around midday, and the first thing he noticed was the notification on Minghao's phone which was meant to remind him to take his medication. The notification was from a few hours ago, too long ago for Minghao to be able to take the dose without messing up his schedule, and seeing how cosy and comfortable Minghao looked, Junhui decided not to wake him but wake him for his next dose of medication.
Both of them slept through the second reminder, and the third at the time they would normally go to sleep.
They two woke up the next morning at around ten.
Junhui checked his phone and found a notification from Seungcheol.
'You and Minghao can get some extra sleep. We've taken the other kids for a walk.'
Junhui smiled and put down his phone. "HaoHao, we should grab some breakfast. It's getting late."
Minghao whined and held onto Junhui's shirt. "'M so tired."
Junhui just chuckled to himself and dragged Minghao out of bed to the kitchen.
Minghao stumbled as Junhui pulled him through the house by his wrist. The corridor and kitchen were spinning around him, head throbbing and aching.
"Hui, stop..." Minghao pleaded, voice weak and inaudible.
Junhui kept pulling him, and just as they reached the kitchen, Minghao's eyes rolled back into his head and he fell to the floor, his head hitting the tiles with a crack.
Junhui froze as soon as he saw Minghao fall, too slow to grab him as his head hit the floor.
The older man sat down, pulling Minghao into his lap and running a hand up and down his back soothingly.
Minghao felt like a ragdoll in his arms, completely limp and dead to the world as Junhui held him close and checked him over.
It was only when Junhui started paying closer attention to Minghao that he realised what had happened.
Minghao was deep in a hypo.
Junhui was gentle as he laid Minghao down on the floor and ran back to their bedroom, bringing back Minghao's bag. Junhui pulled out the glucometer and Minghao's dextrose tablets and gel with the emergency injection.
Junhui really wasn't in the mood to stick his trypanophobic boyfriend with a needle, but if he couldn't bring Minghao around, it would be his only choice.
As gently as he could, Junhui rolled Minghao into the recovery position and grabbed some dextrose gel, squeezing it onto his finger and beginning to rub it around Minghao's gums.
He was hoping that he could get Minghao awake with the dextrose gel and then feed him some snacks to get him up on his feet again, but it wasn't working.
"Come on, baby. Wake up." Junhui whispered, as he finally gave up on the dextrose after five minutes of trying.
All Minghao had done was twitch his fingers slightly, but he wasn't reacting to Junhui's gentle voice at all.
"Hao, please. If you don't wake up I'll have to give you the injection and call an ambulance. Please show me those beautiful eyes."
If Minghao had heard him at all, that would have made him try, but he stayed unconscious.
Junhui sighed and grabbed the injection, opening the orange box and taking out the syringe, mixing the powder and moving to Minghao's leg, pulling down Minghao's (Read: Junhui's) sweatpants and taking a deep breath before sticking the needle into his leg and pushing down the plunger.
Once the liquid was all in Minghao's leg, Junhui removed the needle, throwing the syringe into the empty box and pulling Minghao back into his lap.
Junhui had been waiting for five minutes when the front door to the apartment opened, the other eleven members walked in to find Junhui on the floor with Minghao in his arms, Minghao's bag, dextrose gel, tablets and the empty syringe on the floor.
Junhui had tears running down his face, his breathing showing just how distressed he was.
Jeonghan and Wonwoo rushed forwards, Wonwoo lifting up Minghao and moving him to the lounge to set him down on the couch while Jeonghan got Junhui to his feet and the rest of the members comforted him.
The sudden movement as Wonwoo lifted Minghao up was enough to rouse Minghao a little, so as Wonwoo set him on the couch he was staring off in a stupor.
"Hyung, I need some help," Wonwoo called, Seungcheol coming through to check on the two.
Wonwoo gestured to Minghao. "He's in a stupor right now. I think he hit his head."
Seungcheol took a closer look, lifting Minghao's eyelids and seeing Minghao's pupils wide. Seungcheol dug his knuckles into Minghao's sternum, receiving a pained whine in response.
"Junhui!" Seungcheol called, seeing the anxious boy stick his head around the door. "Did he hit his head?"
Junhui nodded slowly. "When he fainted. I couldn't catch him in time."
Seungcheol looked at Wonwoo. "Call an ambulance."
Wonwoo did as he was told, calling the emergency number while Seungcheol told everyone to disperse to their rooms, apart from Junhui who was to stay with Jeonghan.
Seungcheol headed back to the lounge, seeing Wonwoo gently playing with Minghao's soft hair.
All he wished was that Minghao could get his condition under control.

Minghao was discharged two days later with strict orders to make sure he followed his medicine schedule and some new meds for his nasty concussion.
The concussion was so bad that for the first night the doctors were keeping a close eye on him. They were convinced his brain was going to bleed and he'd need an operation before the next day, but Minghao stayed strong and pulled through without surgery and the doctors soon agreed to clear him under the conditions he wasn't left alone at any time.
Minghao was still struggling to walk straight as they got into their apartment building and took the elevator up to the sixth floor. He was swaying a little, Seungcheol grabbing his arm every time he swayed a little too far. When they reached the dorms, Minghao went straight to bed.
As soon as Minghao was lying down comfortably, he fell asleep, Wonwoo staying in his room to keep an eye on him.
Junhui had been anxious the whole time, sitting beside Minghao's hospital bed and making sure he didn't sleep until the doctors said he could, tapping Minghao every time his eyes threatened to slip closed.
He was so relieved when Minghao was home, curling up in bed beside Minghao, arms wrapped protectively around his injured boyfriend as they slept.
Wonwoo watched them in adoration.
The couple had always been close since their debut, but it took several emotionally difficult months for them to finally confess to each other. Once the confessions were done and they got together, they had been attached at the hip since.
All the group could do was hope Minghao could finally get his condition under control and live a semi-healthy life.
