There hasn't been much reason for Emerald to distrust any of their allies thus far, nor does she think she's given them a reason to not trust her. Adding more people to the mix wasn't something that the brunette girl was exactly expecting, but as she watches Finnick jog his way over to Johanna and the two District Three tributes, she knows they have more. Finnick has been good to them so far, so Emerald trusts his judgement.

Katniss and Peeta, on the other hand, look the furthest thing from trustworthy. In fact, Katniss looks ready to grab Peeta by the hand and flee as quickly as she possibly can. It is something that Emerald cannot blame her for, from what she's observed Katniss didn't even want her, Silas and Finnick to stick around. She's most certainly not going to want Johanna who can be incredibly hostile at times.

"I guess we've got more allies," Peeta comments quietly, the duo from District Twelve watching Finnick's interaction with the others.

Emerald steals a glance at Silas, the boy deep in thought about something, but he snaps out of it when he feels her gaze. Her look is almost questioning, her subtle way of asking if he knows what's going on. A simple shake of the head is all she's given in response but it's enough to get the point across. Now comes the issue of getting this newly banded group to get along until they have to go their separate ways.

Emerald takes initiative, leading the group of younger tributes over to the others. She even goes as far as to greet them with a somewhat warm smile, wanting the portray the fact that she's willing to try and trust them for the sake of all of them. Emerald can feel Silas' presence behind her, looming over her like some sort of protective shadow which she can appreciate, who knows whether or not Johanna will take to the idea of so many allies — she doesn't come across as the most trusting person.

"I got them out. We were all the way deep into the jungle where I thought I was gonna be safe, that's when the rain started. I thought it was water, it turned out to be blood,"
Johanna's voice is loud, an exclamation really, as she gestures to the blood all over her.

Emerald winces slightly, taking note of the blood caked all over the woman's face and even her eyelids, meaning that some of it would've made its way into her eyes. It's not exactly deadly, but boy could it cause some serious problem for those who are hit by it. This arena, it's an array of torturous events designed to cause havoc amongst the tributes. Clearly, it's working.

Emerald doesn't think she'll ever be able to forget the burning sensation as the poisonous fog brushed over her skin, a soft caress that left disastrous pain in its wake.

"You think this is going to work?" Emerald mumbles to Silas, discreetly gesturing to Katniss and Johanna who are now arguing about Wiress — the woman now continuously repeating the phrase 'tick tock'.
