Hospitals are probably the most depressing place to be.. unfortunately this is where alot of people get heart breaking news.. today one of our loved crew members will get the worst news of his lifeIt has been a week since Freddy had the lump removed, since then Freddy had been a little more open to Bonnie about his problems. Bonnie helped Freddy into the kitchen pulling out the chair so Freddy could sit down Freddy pulled his blanket over his shoulders and sighed sitting down before he fell over. Bonnie pretty much became Freddy's carer as Chica was given a list of things that Freddy was allowed to eat which consisted of toast, soups and other easy to digest foods.
Foxy sat down next to Freddy and rubbed his back Freddy glanced at him before resting his head on the table sighing heavily. Bonnie just smiled softly and looked down at Freddy "Are you hungry?" He asks before Freddy shook his head making Bonnie frown "Please Freddy?" He asks as Freddy looks up at him and groaned "Fineeee" he looked back down and grumbled.
Bonnie smiled setting a bowl of creamy potato and ham soup since it was one of Chica's recipes. Freddy lifted the spoon almost dropping it as the spoon landed back in the bowl with a small splash his hand was shaking pretty badly "ye okay captain?" Foxy asks, Bonnie lowering his ears. Freddy nodded and tried again this time able to slowly eat his soup with a bit of a struggle.
There was a knock on the door as Chica got up "I'll see who it is" she said walking off. Freddy sat up when Chica and the doctor walked in "Freddy he's here to see you" she said as Freddy nodded and lowered his ears, pulling the blanket closer over his shoulders pretty much hiding inside the blanket. Doc sighed and patted Freddy's head "It's not good news I'm afraid.." this made Freddy freeze up as he looked up at the Doc "G-go on.." he said as he grabbed into Bonnie's arm.
"The lump.. it was cancerous.. I'm sorry Freddy" the Doctor lowered his head. Freddy tried to swallow the lump that formed in his neck gasping for air when he realised he had been holding his breath. Bonnie broke the silence "How far is the cancer?" He asks ears down, Doc looked back up "It's in it's second stage so early enough for Freddy to start chemo as soon as possible." The Doc rubbed Freddy's shoulder.
Freddy pulled away from the Doc and clinged to Bonnie holding back tears. "I will make sure he goes to hospital tommorow." Bonnie said rubbing Freddy's head to calm him down. "I hoped you'd say that he had an appointment at two... please don't miss it" the Doctor shook his head before leaving them to process the information they were given.
Freddy curled up bringing the blanket over his head as he knew he was about to cry he could feel Bonnie pull him into a hug. He hugged back as tight as possible which was not very tight at all. Bonnie rubbed his back, gently hushing him before kissing his forehead. Freddy's face once again turned bright red. "Freddy I'm gonna be here with you. okay? I am not leaving your side" Bonnie smiled softly and lifted Freddy's chin. Freddy just smiled remaining tightly attached to Bonnie "Thank you..."
The next morning was a bit messy.. Freddy sat on the floor while Bonnie rushed around packing the little travel bag, Freddy just watched the rabbit he couldn't help but wonder why Bonnie cared so much.. And that lead him to think about how Bonnie kissed his forehead which made him fluster lightly once more. The rabbit had been nothing but caring towards him and for that alone he wanted to do something special for him, before he can't.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Bonnie picked him up Freddy shook his head causing fur to go everywhere. He was already starting to shed, It wasn't good as winter was right around the corner. He rested his head on Bonnie's shoulder stifling a yawn he just looked around as Bonnie took him to the taxi. Bonnie sneezed before huffing "Your fur went up my nose" he giggled lightly making Freddy smile and just look up at him.
Bonnie set him in the car and covered him with the blanket as the driver watched. For the sake of the man's taxi Bonnie quickly dusted the fur off him and then hopped in next to Freddy "To the hospital?" The man asks as Bonnie nodded "Yes please" he said in his confident voice while the man pulled out of the driveway onto the road "So, why are you two going there?" The man asks starting small talk as Freddy was the one to reply "Chemo.. I have cancer" he said in his tired but still somehow stern tone.
"Oh.. sorry to hear about that bud, I hope you get better soon" the man said as Freddy just nodded and leaned against Bonnie. The rabbit looked down at Freddy and rapped an arm around him he wanted to tell Freddy it would all be okay.. but he knew if it didn't he would've lied to the bear... the rest of the trip there was pretty quiet, Bonnie yawned and rubbed his eyes he hadn't slept well the night before since well he was terrified for Freddy's life.
The car would pull into the hospital carpark making Bonnie look around he felt Freddy scoot closer knowing he was probably scared. Who wouldn't be? If you have to trust some doctors whilst fearing for your life and thinking about the things you never did. All the wasted chances. The more Bonnie thought about it the more he wanted to do some of the more laid back things with Freddy and that is what he'll do when Freddy is feeling better after the Chemo. But for now they gotta get him in there.
