Chapter Sixteen

When things keep repeating they can slowly drive you insane in the end, the only thing you can do is grab a loved one and hold on for the ride.

Freddy grumbled tugging at the Chemo Iv, he was sick of the damm thing mentally and physically. Freddy sighed it's been a few weeks since the hostage situation. He still wasn't keen on going back to hosptial, A nurse would stop hin tugging on the Iv "Sir, you shouldn't tug on it-" he said as he fixed the Iv for him. Freddy slouched in his seat "I don't like this. I've been doing this for months and I don't seem any better."

"Sir it can take awhile to work" the nurse said as he checked over Freddy's vitals "okay..." Freddy looked away and mumbled his ears lowered. Oh what he would do to have Bonnie here with him. It's a stormy day and Bonnie is working at the pizzeria.. Freddy longed for the stage. The bright lights and kids cheering him and the gang on.. he felt useless like this.

He sniffled lightly, wiping the corners of his eyes. The nurse looked at him, not sure what to do with him. She walked off and had a chat with the nurse that Freddy had made friends with Nurse Lolbit hold her fellow nurse to go attend to the kid's ward and she'll handle Freddy.

She took a stress toy from the basket of stress toy's they normally give to kids, bringing the pizza shaped squishy toy to Freddy. Sitting on the bed by his feet "Freddy?" She said getting his attention. "Hello nurse Lolbit" he said looking at her with raised ears

"I brought you this to mess with instead of your chemo cord" she says with a smile handing him the squishy toy. He smiled softly and squished the toy. Lolbit smiled and patted his shoulder "Try get some rest, if you sleep now Bonnie will be here sooner" she got him another blanket since he was shivering.

He nodded and laid down, he found Lolbit a good nurse to talk to since she always remembered key details and even little things that made it feel you were talking to a friend. Not a nurse who was there against her will. She covered Freddy and patted his head before going to the door, dimming the lights for him before leaving him to rest.

Freddy watched as Lolbit left turning to his phone he smiled to see Bonnie had sent him a photo of the group with all the kids around them. His smile faltered before tears formed in his eyes. Now he felt lonely, he wished that he had never gotten sick. He felt like he was holding Bonnie back.

Bonnie was stuck at the hospital every day after work to spend time with Freddy, He wondered if Bonnie ever wished that he was somewhere else.. Freddy slowly drifted off his phone laying on the bed as his hand loosely holding the squishy he had been crushing in his grip.

Bonnie sighed and tossed the rag aside, he was exhausted but he wanted to go see Freddy. He knew his poor bear was probably lonely. He yawned and leaned against the wall, he had started to doze off when he heard Chica calling him.

He looked up to see Chica looking at him "You okay? You seem out of it" she said looking around the now empty restaurant, since Freddy fell ill they were back in the same position as before.. understaffed. Bonnie nodded and yawned "Yea, wanna come with me to see Freddy?" He asks making her think for a moment before nodding "Only because your in no state to drive." She said crossing her arms.

He rolls his eyes and walks to the car getting in the passenger's seat and curling up. Chica had to shake Bonnie awake once they were there, she was half tempted to turn the car around and take him home. Bonnie stretch and looked around opening his door and almost falling out. Chica blinked softly "You okay?" She asks as Bonnie just nodded.

They ended up going to Freddy's room getting to watch as Freddy refused to eat trying to push the tray away. Bonnie scrowled when the nurse started to yell at Freddy. He stormed in and told the nurse to get out. He then looked at Freddy "Babe. Why can't you eat cornflakes they won't kill you." He said taking the tray from the nurse.

Freddy would look at Bonnie for a moment "are you okay-" he was cut off by the purple bunny "Yes. Now please eat..." he lowers his ears and sat besides Freddy, who slowly ate the given ceral. Now complaining it was soggy, he shut up when he saw Bonnie was falling asleep whilst sitting there. He set his tray aside and slowly pulled Bonnie down so he was able to lay down and get comfortable.

Freddy held Bonnie close who was breathing slowly but deeply, enough to signal he was out cold. Freddy smiled and patted his head "I love you my bunny" he kissed his forehead and snuggled with him. Getting cozy before going to sleep himself.
