✧Y/N pov✧

After you tried convincing the Skirmisher to let you stay in his room for the night he finally gave in and showed you the way. Once the two of you finally arrived, he took his key out of his pocket and unlocked the door with it.
Upon entering you noticed that his room was extremely small. There was only one small bed with a small desk beside it.
On the opposite side, there was a door that probably led to the bathroom.
The skirmisher noticed your shocked face and mumbled
"That's why I felt unsure about this..."

"Right."
I exclaimed still trying to process the situation
"So like, are we gonna share the bed-"
"No."

♡The next morning♡

If you could imagine the worst night, what would it be like?
For you, it was clear that this night's experience had answered that very question.  Not only did that Skirmisher let you sleep in the bathtub, but he woke you up shortly after falling asleep because he was sleepwalking around the whole dorm. Just as you thought things couldn't get any worse he turned the shower on drenching your only Uniform with cold water. But now you have no other choice but to wear it because you literally have nothing else to wear.

After entering the main room you saw that bastard still laying dead asleep in his bed like he didn't just ruin someone's day and night.

You quietly made your way out of the room. Closing the door behind you, your hand suddenly slid off the doorknob making you almost fall in return.
Thankfully you caught myself just in time

"What the heck do you think you're doing?"

Well, this is embarrassing...
You awkwardly turned around facing the familiar person before you
"I was about to head to your office, sir"
Scaramouche looked at you with disinterested before sarcastically exclaiming
"What a coincidence I had the same plan"
He then continued walking while you followed him from behind.

✧Scaramouche pov✧

What was Y/N doing in the same apartment as some usual guard?!
Couldn't she just ask for a new one rather than to share it with one of those weirdos?
She must be delusional to do that.
I could clearly see that she couldn't sleep all night. She wandered behind me like some zombie.
Though, I can't say that my night has been any better.

♡Y/N pov♡

The walk to his office was rather short. After he commanded the soldiers guarding in front of his office to open the doors, he sat back down on the chair at his working table.
That's when you noticed the huge circles under his eyes
"Has something happened sir?"
You boldly asked, gaining a shocked look from him in return. He quickly shook it off and changed the subject
"We have to go on a mission today"
"What is it about sir?"
You asked out of curiosity
"Some guard secretly left without permission. He hasn't been spotted ever since, which makes sense because he could be quite smart from time to time, especially for a normal guard"

"Impressive..."
You mumbled thinking that Scaramouche wouldn't hear it. Unfortunately, he did
"What was that?"
You flinched upon seeing his deadly glare
"Nothing sir."
You lied, gaining a smirk from Scaramouche in return
"I will advise you not to try running away as he did, after all our job is to kill him today. If you should try it and ever get caught, so will you"
You froze upon hearing him say this. He on the other hand still looked at you with that bright smirk of his
"Y-your job is to murder people?"
You exclaimed your breath hitching with fear.
Scaramouche crossed his legs exclaiming
"What?"
"Did you think this would be some kind of school or an adoption center?! Hahaha!
There is no way that you would be so stupid right?"
He laughed out with amusement.
That's when you snapped. You never even thought about what this Organization was about.
It all made sense now.
The way all of those guards react to him.
The way they are dressed.
And that time when the skirmisher warned you about him.

How did you never notice?
How did you even come here in the first place?
By yourself?
Or did someone drag you here?
That's surely not to doubt after all you have heard.
The last thing you remember is seeing Scaramouche and that girl...
How could they be the last thing you remembered?
And not something out of your childhood?
Did they perhaps do something to you that caused you to lose your memories?
Or did you never have any memories, to begin with?
Is there no other explanation?
But how can that be?

"What?"
"Lost your voice?"
You looked up from the carpet to Scaramouches face staring right into his soul

"Am I human?"
His smile turned into a shocked face for a second.
But before you knew it he leaned over to you supporting himself with both of his hands on the table. Our faces were only inches apart
"I must say, I am impressed that you found out this quickly..."
The boy said with his usual psychopathic smile making your whole body shiver in fear

"Then what am I?..."
You exclaimed, trying to speak up. Scaramouche sat back down supporting himself with one hand beneath his chin
"You'll find it out for yourself eventually"
"But-"
"Save it, I don't have time for this. Go get yourself ready to head out"
The indigo-haired boy demanded crossing both his arms
"I am ready."
You uttered in a bold tone.
Scaramouche looked up and down at you, raising one of his eyebrows.
"As you wish, let's go"
He then stood up and walked past you. Somehow you could feel a strong aura surrounding him.
Did you only notice it now or has he planned something?

"Are you just gonna stand there?"
He annoyedly asked, tapping his shoe on the floor in frustration
"Apologies"
You said in a dry tone snapping back to reality.

As the two of you walked along the hallway you saw the same Mage that gave you your room yesterday come up to Scaramouche.
She bowed before him and said
"What was it that you needed from me, my lord?"

Instead of looking down at her face, Scaramouche avoided eye contact with her
"You're fired."
He said in his usual dry tone, causing the mage to widen her eyes
"W-what but why?..."
She stuttered in fear. The indigo-haired boy let out an ironic laugh
"So you wanna tell me that you really don't know the reason for me firing you?"
He said before grabbing onto her neck and pinning her against the floor
"Don't you dare lie to me"

He tightened his fingers around the Mages's throat, stopping her from responding. Her face began to turn into a sickening color as her sight started to close in on her
"She learned her lesson, let's get going"

This man is terrifying.
