Chapter 8: I See You

    It was a bright and gorgeous day, sitting next to a gorgeous boy. It was daytime though, me and Aonung kept our distance. The thought of just kissing him made this so hard to bear.
     "You make it so hard for me not to kiss you, you're too pretty." Aonung couldn't stop the blushing from forming on his face. He just stared into my eyes, giving me a look of appreciation.
     "Thank you, you always seem to make me feel so warm inside. Your presence just makes my day." I froze, that was the nicest and cutest thing he's ever said to me. I make him happy? Out of all people? I slowly intertwined my fingers with him.  This might've been the happiest I've ever been, with Aonung. Even though I hated this place and desperately wanted to go home, Aonung made it so much more bearable. There was so much I wanted to say to him, about how much he meant to me.
     "Hey bro, whatcha doing with this dickhead?" Lo'ak looked at me Aonung, we parted hands hoping that Lo'ak hadn't noticed.
     "We were racing but then Neteyam got tired, so we decided to take a break." Aonung saved us, I couldn't thank him enough. I don't how I would survive in this situation without his words. But when he was talking about me, he used my name. That was something I'd never heard before, I had the craving to hear it again.
     "Alright, make sure to kick his ass bro. He's not as scary as he looks." Lo'ak stifled a laugh. He patted my shoulder and walked along the beach till he met up with Tsireya. I and Aonung looked at each other smirking, we both knew what our siblings were up to. It wasn't a surprise to us, Lo'ak was clearly into Tsireya the day we got here.
     "Young love, such a nice thing." Aonung gave a dramatic sigh, resting his head on my shoulder.
     "We're not that old, stop overreacting." I chuckled a bit and wrapped my arms around him.
     "You knew I was being dramatic. I just can't bare to see my dear sister falling for some freak." Aonung pecked my check quickly, hoping that no one saw it.
     "I'm right here, don't call my brother a freak." I softly slapped his face, laughing at the dramatic expression he had on his face.
     "I know, I see you." Those words were enough to make me explode. I wanted to kiss him so badly, feel his arms around me. I brushed my lips on the side of his cheek. My optics widened at the words he just spoke but at the same time, they were such comforting words. I was grinning too widely it felt like my mouth might fall off. I mean, my mouth might fall off if I have to go the whole day without kissing Aonung. He was the only thing that kept me from falling apart into pieces.
     "I have to go soon, my parents might be-" I dragged Aonung into a soft kiss, caressing his cheek as I did do. I let my lips part and looked at Aonung.
     "Okay, see you soon."
