Aonung's Pov
The day was moving slowly without Neteyam by my side, I don't want to sound clingy but I did miss him. No one would witness me pining over forest boy. The sun was still lighting up the sky when my and friends deciding to go hunting. There weren't any good catches today though, none of the fish I caught were worth my time. The thing that was worth my time, was Neteyam. I could go hours talking about him, the way his golden optics shimmered in the sunlight, his optimism and perseverance. The list carries on and on. A few weeks ago, I couldn't even imagine myself with him, I hated him and his family. Now I couldn't stop obsessing over everything he did. I suppose his charming personality fooled me.
"We should head back, don't want to be stuck out here past eclipse." My friend spoke. Directing us towards our homes. All of us followed him, agreeing that we should start heading back. I wanted to meet up with Neteyam before the eclipse, I couldn't wait a day to experience his touch. His soft hands intertwined my mine. When did I become so, soft? I'm guessing I was only like that around Neteyam, he was the only person I liked this shit whole.
***As soon as the shore was in sight I practically ran to Neteyam's house, seeing If I could gesture for him to come out here. I peered in and my eyes were wandering around to find Neteyam. My eyes met with a freak, and as soon as she saw me she ran over to me.
"I know why you're here, he's not home." She crossed her arms. Aonung looked surprised, she was probably bluffing, she has nothing on me.
"What are you going on about, freak? I'm not here for a conversation though I'm sure you have such great things to say." I tried to get away but I felt a slight tug on my arm. Her golden topics had a serious expression.
"If you hurt my brother, I will not hesitate to beat your ass. Do you understand?" She narrowed her eyes. I took a step back and hesitated from that comment. How did she know, did Neteyam tell her?
"Completely understand, are you sure he's not here though?" I asked, hoping that he was in their pod.
"Fine, he's in here. Don't do anything stupid, I won't hesitate to-"
"Yeah, I get it. You'll beat my ass." I walked into the pod. Looking around for Neteyam. I soon met eyes with the most beautiful boy I'd ever seen, his golden optics burning bright like stars in the night sky. I took hold of Neteyam's hand, leading him to the beach.
"Sorry I interrupted you, I missed you so much and I couldn't bare to live without you any longer." My lips pressed against his hand, wrapping my arms around his slim body.
"Awe, reef boy missed me." He stroked my cheek, giving my cheek a small peck. I laughed a little but I was too exhausted to answer, I just let my body collapse in the safety of Neteyam's arms.
"Rough day?"
I groaned as a response, Neteyam knew that my day was tiring. I just rested my head on his shoulder and stood in the position for a while. It was probably the most comfortable I've felt in a while. I feel like I could trust Neteyam with my life. I took hold of his chin, lifting his head to meet mine. We slowly leaned in, letting the sounds of nature guide us as we softly pressed our lips together.
"What the hell is this then?" We both heard as we turned our heads to see someone, angry and shocked at what they just witnessed.|| Sorry I haven't updated this in like 2 days, I've been busy studying for upcoming tests and quizzes in school but I'm going to try to write more and plan out what ai want to do with this book. I'm having writer's block on how to make the story more interesting for you guys to read. I appreciate all of you! ||
