After we had been directed to our pod, the thought of jumping into the shimmering water entered my mind. For a little while, all my worries about fitting in here all floated away. But, dreams always come to an ending.
"Come on!" Tuk called out to me, Kiri, and Lo'ak.
I soon jumped into the water, not as elegant or graceful as I wanted it to but it would have to do. As long as I didn't make a fool out of myself.
"We should split up into groups to try and train easier." Tsireya suggested. "How about me and Lo'ak, Neteyam and Aonung, And.."
I couldn't pay attention to anything else she said, I was being paired up with that bratty kid? 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴? I made my way over to Aonung, not in the mood to deal with whatever he had to say.
"Look, I know neither of us want to be here so let's make this quick." I narrowed my eyes on the male.
"If you want to finish this without trouble you're going to have to listen to me." Aonung patted the Ilu, gesturing for me to get on.
I gave him a quick nod and seated myself on the Ilu.
"You have to be one with the Ilu, relax your body as you go under the water and up back on the surface." He reassured me.
I tried my best to follow his instructions as I kept on failing at riding the Ilu how I wanted to. Aonung let out a loud chuckle as he watched me fall off the Ilu time and time again.
"Come over here, you're breathing heavily."
I walked over to the male as he placed one of his hands on my stomach.
"Calm down, you're breathing so fast" He closed his eyes, keeping his hand on my stomach till I was breathing steadily.
"I'm trying, dumbass." I closed my eyes as well as I focused on my breathing. Not the fact that Aonung had his large hands placed on my skin.

Me and Aotung were finished with training way before anyone else was, I couldn't escape the conversation I was about to have.
"You learn fast for a rookie, tree boy." He playfully elbowed my arm.
"Yeah, I guess. It wasn't that hard, I don't know what you're talking about." There was no time to be modest, especially not around him. I rolled my eyes and directed them at the sparkling water touching both of our feet.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm still sure it's hard to swim with a tiny tail like yours." He teased.
