As the solders were getting ready to enter it was decided by the generals to allow the men and women the socialize with eachother.

Luckly there was no language barrier as all of the solders nano-suits had a translation function.

Three of these solders were starting to get along.

"So first Lieutenant Itami, I heard you are what they call an otaku correct?" A American marine named Mark Tanners asked.

"That would be correct Captain Tanners. Do you have any anime you like?"

The Master Sergeant waved his hand around. "The only anime I've watched is Dragon ball, Sword art online, Soul eater, and Tokyo Revengers." He then looked at the female solder. "What about you Ruski? You watch any anime?"

"First of all it's second lieutenant Kashinki Dakrini, second of all yes, I watch naruto.

And then Mark just had to say it. "A female Ruski that watches anime? I can't BELIEVE it."

Both Itami and Dakrini groaned at the joke. "Did you really have to do that?" Itami asked.

"Hey, I saw an opportunity and I took it." Mark said with a shit eating grin.

Suddenly a voice came through: "Alright shit sacks get ready, were going in."

They got up and started moving towards their army's, but Itami had one question."Hey mind if I ask you something Captain?"

Mark turned towards him. "Sure, but make it quick."

"Do you know why were using old equipment? Cause from what I can see you're holding an M4A5 in your hands. And from what I can tell, thats a M1A2 Abrams, not an M1A6."

Mark understood as even he was confused at first, but he was told why by his captain. "Well, it's because theres no satellites in the other world. Also because we're facing an army that uses swords and shields, we don't need the best of the best out there."

Then suddenly the voice came through once again. "Didn't you retards hear me the first time?! Get your asses over here!"

They immediately rushed to their places.

Once Mark sat down someone just had to get a lick in. "So Captain tanners, were you messing around with the Russian and Japanese kid?"

Mark gave her a deadpanned look. "Shut it Lieutenant."

They all got a laugh out of his reaction.

Their laughter stopped as they began moving into the gate.

"Well, here we go." Said mark getting ready for whatever abominations were on the other side.

Then everything turned white.

Time: night time. Unknown date

As the blinding white light faded the first wave of allied solders made there way into this new and alien land.

The first thing they noticed was that it was night time. "Huh, thats strange, it's night time on this side."

As they were looking at the stars on of the generals interrupted their thoughts. "Enemys 12 o'clock! Get ready for battle!"

All of the solders turned on their suits night vision and looked out across the field.
