Misaki's Pov

I woke up the next morning with a cramp in my leg from lack of space in my room/closet. I did have to give up the bedroom for nii-chan and Manami-san after all. I opened the door to my older brother's room to wake Takahiro up for work, but to my surprise I had walked into a completely empty room. Everything is gone, were there thieves? I ran to the living room to confirm my suspicion, but everything else was there in it's proper place. The heck. I walked into the kitchen and looked around finding a not in the process. I read it, it was from nii- chan and Manami-san. Did something happen to them, I hope they're safe. The note read: Dear Misaki, Manami-san and I have decided to move into the country side of the kingdom to live with Manami-san's cousins. This way we can stay engaged safely, but we still need you to go to the ball in place of Manami-san so none of us are banished from the kingdom. Please find a way to do this Misaki so we can stay together. From: Takahiro

What! They left me here to find a way to go to the ball myself and put myself in the most danger to save themselves! I mean I knew they were taking advantage of me, I'm not stupid, but this is beyond that! Shocked from the note I let it fall out of my hands onto the floor. I walk into the living room and put my back against the front door. I slide down onto the ground, hugging my knees, and burying my head into arms. Light tears start to drip from my face. What am I going to do, I try so hard to be of use to nii-chan, but no I'm all alone. What does he expect me to do by myself! I wish I had someone to help me do this.... Suddenly the front door opens and I fall on my back with my body halfway outside. I look up to see a young man with dark blue hair and navy eyes. With glowing light blue wings behind his back and blue suit. I blink twice. Wait what glowing white wings, that's just great now I'm going crazy and seeing strangers with wings!

You're not going crazy and I'm not a stranger, I'm your fairy godfather, says the young stranger standing over me. My name is Nowaki Kusama and are you Misaki Takahashi, Nowaki asked me with a bright smile. Y-yes, I replied shakily. Don't be scared I'm here to help you, Nowaki said in a gentle tone. Huh, help me, help me do what? Uhh.. help me do what. Get you to the ball of course, that's what you wish for am I wrong?, Nowaki asked confused. This guy isn't kidding is he. I'm not kidding, I can read your mind you know, Nowaki said. So you're really my fairy godfather, I asked questioningly standing up in between the doorway. Yes, now come on the ball is at 10:00 right, well we need to get going, Nowaki says pulling me outside the house. Going with what, I asked confused as I closed the front door. Well you need to be a girl to attend the ball and help your family right so let's start with that, Nowaki said. Wait, he's going to actually turn me into a girl. I froze and looked at Nowaki with dread in my eyes. Nowaki shook his head and said, not physically, I mean appearance wise. I sighed with relief. Nowaki then pulled out a long white wand from behind his back and pointed at me. Now how do you humans say it bippity boppity boo or something like that, Nowaki said to himself. I sighed. Oh dear brother where ever you may be please help me in my predicament.

Akihiko Pov

*flashback continued*

As I looked down huge gorgeous green eyes looked up at me. They were connected to a cute, young boy's face. I quickly dried my face and grabbed the young boy's hand and pulled him to his feet. Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going, he said brushing himself off. He looked up at me and asked, are you alright sir it looks like you've been crying. I'm fine a lot's happened that's all, I replied as kind as I could. The kid's eyes saddened as he looked directly into mine and said, you got your heart broken. I went speechless, for years no one has been able to tell how I was feeling with just a look, not even Hiroki. Did he say sir, how could he not know who I am? That's when I realized that I still had on the disguise. Suddenly thoughts of Takahiro appeared in my mind at the mention of heart broken and tears started to pour from my face once more. I sat on the pavement with my hands over my face. I never cry in front of anyone, how could my emotions get the better of me in front a stranger. Sir, I understand how it feels to lose someone you love, but it gets better I'm sure, the kid said bending over to pat my back affectionately. I know it seems like a bullet through your heart, but things will turn out just fine you see, he said. I looked up at him and he gave me a kind smile. My dark world felt a little brighter. What's your name, I asked the kid. Misaki, he replied. Misaki looked at his golden watch. It looked very expensive for it to belong to a ragged boy. His eyes went wide and he said, I'm sorry I have to go I hope I was of help to you, and in a flash Misaki was gone. Some help, that kid gave me just the words to move on and I didn't even get to say thanks.

*flashback end*

The memory faded away as I turned a few pages and began to write in my journal with that as my inspiration. I wish I could meet that kid once more. I sighed. The ball is tonight and I'm still unprepared for the crowd of people and hoish women. Maybe I'll meet Misaki there, though I doubt it he's a guy after all.

No Pov

By 10:00pm Nowaki, Misaki's fairy godfather had successfully made Misaki appear as a girl. His tattered rags, Takahiro needed the money for his and Manami's clothes, were turned into an elegant green gown to match his eyes. His rugged shoes were transformed into nice, blue flats, he rejected Nowaki's idea to wear heels. And lastly his hair was combed straight down with some hair sticking up at the top. Nowaki had really out did himself. Misaki also had on his golden rolex (watch) his parents gave him in their will. He wore it all the time, except when cleaning, and though of it as a lucky memento. Nowaki had even conjured up a tinted green carriage to carry Misaki to the ball, though Misaki would rather walk considering his parent's accident. But was persuaded to do otherwise by his fairy god father.
