Misaki's Pov

I was hesitant to step into the carriage, but Nowaki's gentle smile ushered me forward. After I got comfortable in the carriage it started to ride forward, but was soon stopped by Nowaki. I peered out the carriage to see Nowaki floating in the air with a worried expression. I just remembered, you must be back here by midnight or the enchantment will wear, and everything will turn back. I will, I promise, I replied with a smile to Nowaki.

Good, Nowaki said happily. Good luck. Thank you, I said as the carriage pulled off once again. Can I really pull this off. I mean my chest area will have others suspecting , but... My thoughts soon faded away when the carriage came to a stop in front of the castle. I took a big gulp and stepped out of the carriage, then walked up to one of the guards at the entrance. Um excuse me I'm Manami Kajiwara and I'm hereto attend the Usami ball, I said showing the guard the invitation. I looked to the side hoping he won't peer directly in to my face to clarify who I am. He looked me up and down and said you may enter in a gruff voice.

I quickly walked inside the castle. I paused in awe. There were huge golden chandeliers all over the ceiling that lit up a sparkly marble floor with glass pillars lining up along side the walls. I've never seen something so elegant before, so this was actually a once in a lifetime for me to be here. I guess I better make it count. I was still at the entrance at the top of the steps so I stepped down to enter the ballroom floor. Unfortunately I was still not used to wearing a dress and slipped on the first down. I shut my eyes waiting for the impact to come.

It never did, instead I felt a large pair of cold hands wrap around me to catch me. I opened my eyes and looked to my side to see who caught me. It was a man with silver hair and lavender eyes. He was a wearing a cape and a purple suit with a ... royal crest on the front! I blushed lightly and stepped away from the man and bowed. F-forgive me m-my prince, thank you for ca-catching me, I said stuttering. It's okay , the prince said in a gentle, but deep voice. I lifted my head and smiled at him with a slight blush still on my cheeks.

Akihiko Pov

After being forced to dance with another ho-ish woman by my father, I was ready for this unenjoyable ball to be over. I was near the entrance when a short brunette woman walked in. She was wearing a green gown and had huge green eyes! The description is almost exactly like Misaki! Though I was sure that it was impossible since Misaki was a boy. The green eyed woman stepped down the first step and slipped. She started to fall backwards, so I ran up the steps to catch her before she hit the steps. After steading herself she stepped away with a light blush on her cheeks and bowed. She thanked and apologized to me nervously. I guess she saw the royal crest. It's okay, I replied gently. The green eyed woman looked up at me directly into my eyes and smiled.

My heart stopped. I knew that smile, that was Misaki's smile. The young boy whose kind words I still remember. Why would he be here.. I wonder. I grabbed the supposed woman's hand and bowed planting a kiss on it's back. I'm prince Akihiko of the Usami kingdom, please to meet you and you are?, I said looking up at her with a bright smile. The green eyed woman flushed as she extracted her hand from mine. I'm Misa- I mean I'm Manami Kajiwara, here for the courting.  I'm clever to know what she was about to say, it is Misaki, though I have to be sure but for now... Good you're here for the courting so allow me to have your first dance, I said grabbing the green eyed woman's hand and pulling her into the center of the dance floor.

Nowaki's Pov

After Misaki's carriage rode off to the Kingdom I followed to make sure everything went according to planned. When I arrived at the castle I found a window to watch as everything unfolded. Right about now Misaki is supposed to be entering the castle, and sure enough he was. What Misaki didn't know was that Nowaki knew everything that would happen to Misaki during the ball. Nowaki would be Misaki's god father for a while in fact. I looked down through the window on top of the castle at Misaki tripping and being caught by the prince.

Then being dragged onto the dance floor. Misaki was absolutely failing at dancing and I could hear all the comments being made about the two as they danced. Why would prince Akihiko want to dance with that! She can't even keep up, I heard two girls said snickering. I frowned and pointed my fingers through the glass at Misaki's shoes. I can let the shoes do all the work for him.  Next I pointed my fingers at Misaki's dress through the glass. Now Misaki was an incredible dancer with a glowing green gown.

I smiled impressed with my work steadily watching the prince Akihiko and Misaki sway gracefully to the music. Then the unexpected caught my eye. Not to far off from where they were dancing a young light brown haired male was watching with incredibly sad eyes. Soon tears started to drip from the male's eyes slowly, so he sneaked away from the ballroom.  Must be unrequited love for the prince. Though I think I'm in love, love at first sight with a crying  young man with dark brown eyes.  I speedily flew down from the top castle window to the entrance. With a snap of my fingers I'm behind the young man who's sitting on a bench inside a rose garden.
