Kaylus was sat in her history class early, she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone before school started so she just sat in her classroom, again she was sat in the corner, but next to her was Dustin and next to his was Gareth and in front of them was Mike, who sat directly in front of Dustin.

Kaylus and Gareth had started arguing again, for what reason? There was none, they just started arguing again, Dustin wasn't in today, he was sick or something so he wasn't there to keep peace, Kaylus jumped when the bell rang and sighed as people came into the classroom, "Okay class today we are having an old student come back and a complete new student, please welcome Will Byers and Jane Hopper, Mike perked up at the new names as Kaylus glanced up and looked at the boy 'He's so definitely gay.' Kaylus grinned at the boy as he was told to sit next to her, Dustin had been moved in front of Kaylus and the girl was sat next to Mike 'Poor lass.' the boy slowly sat next to Kaylus and she turned her body to face him, he looked at her and looked a bit worried when he saw her grinning at him, "Hello Will, I'm Kaylus." she held out her hand, Will looked shocked but smiled and shook her hand, Kaylus turned back round in her seat but kept her eyes on Will, "So, you're a new but old student?" Kaylus asked him, He nodded, "Yeah, I used to go here but moved away with my stepsister a while back." he said and glanced at the pair in front of him, Kaylus looked from him to Mike repeatedly and realized Will liked Mike, "You like him, don't ya?" Kaylus whispered in his ear, she turned to her shocked, "No I don't!" He rushed out, but his face gave him away, "Really, cause your face and expression when you look at him says different." Kaylus smirked "Don't worry, I ain't gonna tell anyone, I'll be your protector if I have to." Kaylus bowed to him, he chuckled at her antics and shook his head, what they didn't notice was Gareth staring at them with a hard glare and his fists clenched.

Kaylus and Will walked out of class smiling and laughing "I've heard a lot of bad things about you, but you're not that bad." Will smiled, Kaylus lost her as she sighed, "No I am that bad, I just try to suppress it, Jason got what he deserved, he was being a real twat." Kaylus said and opened her locker to grab her math book so she and Will could go together, "Well, I don't think you're all that bad, just misunderstood." Will said and walked into their math's class, Kaylus sighed, walking in behind him, Will was sat near the front while she was at the back, this time she was sat next to Jane Hopper, Will's step-sister who just looked at her and smiled, Kaylus smiled back and looked at her desk, she heard a thud and looked in the direction of the noise to see Gareth and Jeff sat next to her, she groaned quietly and looked away, "Um excuse me?" Jane asked from her right, "Yes?" Kaylus asked, "Are they bothering you, we can switch places if you like." Jane offered, smiling at Kaylus, her eyes widened at the offer but shook her head, "No, it's fine, I just don't really like one of them that much." Kaylus glanced at the boys and saw them looking at her, "Well, if you wanna switch just say so Kaylus." Jane smiled, "How'd you know my name?" Kaylus asked surprised, "I heard you walking to Will and you said your name." she said, "Oh yeah." Kaylus giggled and looked at the worksheet that was handed to her, Kaylus started writing answers down.

Half why through lesson Kaylus got really hot and she felt as if she was going to be sick, she took slow breaths to hopefully help her cool down, she felt a tap on her shoulder and looked at jeff you nodded at her desk, Kaylus looked at the crumbled-up paper ball on opened it, "Are you ok?" it read, she looked at him and nodded, but a wave of nausea hit her, and she ran out the class feeling as if she was about to throw up.

Kaylus slammed the female toilets door open and ran past two girls and into a stall, the second Kaylus opened her mouth her started vomiting, "Oh my god! Kaylus!" Robin ran over and held Kaylus' hair out of her face, Kaylus wouldn't stop throwing up, "Go get the nurse!" Robin said to someone, a few minutes later the nurse came into the toilets expecting to see a student faking an illness, but she saw Kaylus bent over heaving into the toilet "Oh my!" The nurse ran to Kaylus and held her hair up like Robin did, "Do you know this girl?" the nurse asked, "No, I think Robin does though." Robin nodded her head and looked at Kaylus with worry, after ten minutes Kaylus had stopped throwing up and they moved her as quickly as they could to the infirmary where Kaylus had to wait for Thomas to pick her us as her mother was working and couldn't get off shift.

Kaylus opened the door of the car and was moved upstairs into her room by Stephanie and Thomas, once she got up there, she collapsed on her bed and fell asleep not caring that she was still in her clothes and shoes, she was too tired to care, all she wanted was to go to sleep.

When Kaylus woke up she saw that her shoes had been taken off, she sat up and groggily walked over to her draws and picked out a tank top, a pair of sweatpants and an oversized hoodie, Kaylus put her hair into a low ponytail to keep it out of her face, her head snapped to the door when it opened but Kaylus lost her balance at the fast movement and closed her eyes in pain afterwards, when she opened her eyes she saw Gareth holding her, "Why didn't you tell anyone you were sick?" he asked moving Kaylus to her bed, "Cause I didn't know until a few hours ago." Kaylus laid down while Gareth sat next to her, "Are you feeling ok, do you need anything?" Gareth asked, Kaylus looked at him weirdly "What?" Gareth asked confused, "You don't care about me when people are around, but the minute were alone you care, why?" Kaylus asked, Gareth sighed and looked away holding his neck, when he looked at Kaylus again she was expecting an answer "Well, I just find it easier to care about you when were alone cause I don't want other people to see me soft I guess, it's stupid but that is my reason." he muttered and looked away from the awe struck girl "So you don't hate me?" Kaylus asked, "No, I forgave you a long time ago, we were like eight anyway." he laughed, Kaylus smiled "Can you stay here until I fall asleep, I don't wanna be alone, of course you can say no I just-" "Sure, it'll be nice I guess." He smiled and walked out, after a few minutes he came back in a black shirt and some plaid pajama pants, "If I'm staying, I'm gonna be comfortable." He chuckled, Kaylus giggled and laid down again, Garth laid next to her, but they had enough room, so they weren't touching each other, Kaylus pulled Gareth over and cuddled up next to him, he smiled, "Still the same old sick baby huh?" he teased, "Oh shut up." she laughed before closing her eyes, after a few minutes she was out like a light, Gareth went to move but her arms tightened around him, he sighed and laid under the covers with her and fell asleep holding her to his chest.
