Bo Chapter: Chasing The Dream

Chapter 5

**After that morning, Chase took Stacey back to the hotel to get her car. Tara and Shannon had a big fight, he accused Tara of being a kid. Tara finally told him that she lost her virginity already. Shannon and Tara decided to break up which it didn't really matter to Tara anymore.

**Once the summer came around Chase, Stacey, Tara, Eric and Malik all hung out for a bit.

**However, Jeff ended up running and telling Stacey's parents that she was intentionally sabotaging their relationship. Jeff told Stacey's parents that Chase was a bad influence on her. Jeff's parents decided to do some digging around. They found out that Chase got accepted to the Arts Institute of Georgia. (Which Jeff's mother was the dean of arts at the college). They told Stacey that if she thought about hanging out with Chase anymore over the summer before going to college, they would make sure he lost his scholarship. Stacey was heartbroken.

**That summer Chase tried to get up with Stacey but no luck, he tried to reach out to Tara, but Stacey had told Tara everything that was going on. Tara was pissed because she wanted to hang with Chase during the summer before she went off to college (i.e. have sex with him). But she also didn't want Chase to lose his scholarship, so both her and Stacey blocked Chase's number and cut off all contact with him.

**Chase was so use to rejection and feeling abandoned. He put it out of sight and just made as much money as he could and started to get his self ready for college.

**Fast forward three years Chase is starting his junior year of college. He stays at home while he goes to school. Since the school was only about 30 minutes from the house. He's in a healthy relationship with a girl name Brandi. But then his mom got really sick, and she's been in the hospital.

**Back to the story**

**It's the beginning of the semester. Chase has just finish classes for today when he gets a phone call from Brandi.

Chase - Hey babe wassup.

Brandi - Hey where are you, I'm waiting by your car?

Chase - I'm walking there now.

**Chase greets his girlfriend with a kiss.

Brandi - So babe listen I want to take you out to this new spot called Backstage, it's a lounge.

Chase (smile) Oh you want to take me out.

Brandi laughs and says Yes babe, what do you say?

Chase - Well.

Brandi - Come on babe.

Chase - I really just wanted to study and go to hospital and be with my mom.

**Brandi rolls her eyes.

**Chase and Brandi were doing good before his mother got sick. Once that happened Chase just wanted to devote all his spare time with her. He saw the writing on the wall, that she wasn't getting any younger. Brandi started to feel left out. Chase did his best to make Brandi feel wanted but it was hard some days.

Chase (annoyed) We rolling our eyes now.

Brandi (annoyed) All I'm asking is one night that's it that's all.

Chase - How about I go visit my mom then I meet you out there.

Brandi (annoyed) You know what I'll just go with my girls. If you come, then you come.

**Chase rolls his eyes and Brandi starts to walk away.

Chase - Hold on. Did you not hear me say that I would still come?

Brandi - I said what I said Chase.

**Brandi pulls away from Chase and leaves.

Chase yells "you do the most for no reason."
