I am standing here looking at the colorless road,
crying my eyes out,
wondering why you had to go.
I gaze at your pictures and listen to 'our' song,
Remembering your voice, the tones and the pitches,
that once held truthful words,
I analyze the stars and whistle the tune to your nightly lullaby,
I remember your throaty chuckle and the crinkles of your eyes,
I remember how gracefully you walked and the sweet way you talked,
the way your voice ran as smooth as a vinyl record,
I remember the vibrant color of your eyes,
How your spirit seemed to glow,
I remember when I listened to the beat of your heart,
and hummed along,
How we swayed together in sync as we both whispered,
"I do,"
I sit here, looking at the stars,
Wondering if you continue to strum your guitar,
Or let it collect dust in an old attic.
You let yourself slip away,
Forgetting notes along the way,
Unable to read the sheets that displayed little beats in black ink,
For I was your composer,
I did not know what to say,
You gave me an A minor,
when I requested a G major.*****************************************
I kind of like this poem. (Especially since I am learning the guitar right now) ^_^
I was just bored and I can not seem to sleep. I hope you all like it and consider leaving a vote! :)What topic do you think I should write about? Please let me know in the comments!
