Diminished perplexity

The veil that masks my reflection is lifted only to reveal my true colors,

Blue, purple, green, yellow, orange then red,

I walk along a road,

After a crowd,

Afraid of what people will think because I was painted differently,

A canvas that was filled with a vibrancy  that people didn't quite understand,

They were left confused and astonished,

Some grew infuriated as if a bull taunted them with the red flags of rebellion,

I cowered,

Not sure of how to respond,

Overwhelmed with emotions that no one else could possibly understand.

As I remained there standing,

Hateful words charged at me,

I continued walking with all that I had left,

Oblivious to the reasoning behind such cruelty,

An enigma so complex,

That the only solution were parades and movements,

'Paint a bigger picture, open your mind, '

'Put yourself in our shoes!' And you will have...

Diminished Perplexity.
