"Good morning Levi."
"Morning," the man responded, raising his head from his book. He leaned over the counter on a stool as he peered into your eyes questioning.
You quickly shook your hair, water particles flying. It started raining, early yesterday after you had left Levi's shop. It's been pouring ever since. It was dark and gloomy in the tea store. No one stood inside ordering savoring tea but only you. The clouded sky made the morning look like night but you knew that the sun lured behind those clouds yearning to be freed.
"I already know what you're going to say." He raised his brows.
"Why are you here so early? Right, is that what you were going to ask me?"He scoffed and said, "No I'm wondering why the hell you're walking around out there without an umbrella."
"Oh," was all you said as you took off your drenched jacket and hung it up on the coat hanger. "Well I'm a bit of an idiot. The one thing I forgot when I moved was my handy umbrella."
You pouted and walked up to him. He closed his book, making sure to neatly tuck in a random scrap piece of paper that he used as a bookmark. "The usual?"
"Yes sir."
He hopped off the stool and got to work. "What a gloomy Tuesday, huh?" You sighed, resting your chin in your hand.
"Yeah it sure is." Levi grumbled glancing at the window. The pouring rain made it hard to see clearly through the young day.
"Well it's not all that bad y'know?" This caused him to glance at you now. "These types of days are just right for lounging around and reading to your heart's content. The rain sets this type of mood."
"If you say so."
"You don't like the rain or something?" You asked.
"Not really. It's too cold." He responded, Turning off the stove and pouring the hot water into a to-go cup.
"Wait, don't finish pouring that." You stopped him.
"What?" He asked, with a frown on his face.
"I want to enjoy my tea here."
"Well, you should have told me that before I poured all of the water in one of these cups." He scowled.
"Ugh it's fine, I can just drink it out of there."
"Tch." He complained. "Why do you want to drink here anyways."
"Well, figuring how much time I have left until work," you said, glancing at the clock, "I might as well just catch up on the book you lent to me."
He glanced at you suspiciously."It's not like I'm staying here because of you!" You counterfeit, "I really would like to read the book."
"Yeah, yeah I know," he smirked and turned around with your tea. You hurriedly paid the man and stomped to a table nearest to the window.
By the time you sat down and had taken one long, scolding sip of your black tea, you had realized you forgot something.
"Damnit."
