Everything was quiet for once.

I enjoyed the feeling around me and I never wanted it to end. From my past knowledge I knew that this wouldn't last long, the silence in this place never lasted. I laid there as I was going to take this moment while I had it. Despite the silence that surrounded me I have my favorite baby blue blanket I've had for years wrapped around me. It provided me with an extra layer of comfort before everything would become louder.

It didn't last long until...

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Mirio had stopped outside my door as he'd knocked on it. The sudden noise made me jump and it put all my nerves inside my body on edge. I wasn't expecting him to come and wake me up so early in the morning, he normally would've waited till later than at this time. I took a deep breath to collect and calm myself down. Mirio wasn't a bad person but I was still reactive around him when things came suddenly.

"Tamaki? Are you awake?"

"Yeah, I'm up. Did you need something?"

"Awesome! Sorry for waking you up so suddenly." He paused, "I came to tell you that Nejire and I wanted to talk with you when you wake up and have gotten ready. We'll be in the kitchen waiting for you when you're ready."

Regardless of me wanting to lay here in bed all day Mirio was right about me getting ready for the day, I had to do it anyways but I also knew that it wouldn't take long for me to do. There wasn't much in my closet as I owned very little but that wasn't an issue for me, I liked how minimal things were in my life. All I needed to do to get myself together was to throw on my favorite hoodie nearby before going to meet Mirio and Nejire in the kitchen.

My room provided me with what I needed even if it wasn't that big. Besides that what mattered to me is that I had a roof over my head and a warm place to sleep at night. My white colored room didn't have much to it other than the doorless closet and the bed that I barely fit on underneath me. I was used to how I lived my life by now and I wouldn't have asked for anything more. This was my home and there was no way I was changing it.

Mirio took a deep breath, "Take your time to get ready, we're in no rush."

"I'll be out to meet with you guys shortly. It won't take me that long to do what I need."

"Okay! I'll see you in the kitchen when you're finished." Mirio said in a chipper voice. "I can't wait to see you!"

Mirio walked away as the sound of his footsteps went silent. In this apartment only the three of us lived here. We have our respect for each other and the things we have. That made me feel better knowing that I had people within reach whenever I needed help. I rose from the bed and made my way over to the closet to start getting ready.

I grabbed my favorite hoodie from the closet that Mirio and Nejire gave me when we first met years ago. It was yellow with a light blue sun printed on the front of it, I slipped it over my head taking in the cozy warmth that always came from it. However, at all times when we weren't home I had to wear the hoodie all the time since people weren't big fans of elves. I'm unable to change that.

Wearing it was harder for me to manage in the summer but luckily that has come to an end and it's now in the middle of fall. I knew that this was something that I had to do for me and my safety. Reaching my hand back I checked to see if my hood was there before making a few small adjustments to make it more comfortable. My shoulders relaxed as I knew that things with me were ready to go.

I opened the door as it creaked loudly, the echo of it bounced around the room. The hallway was long and the outside was dark apart from the light that came from the end of it. I kept close to the wall as I made my way closer to the entry of the kitchen. I poked my head around the corner to see Mirio on the far end of the room looking at a black and red poster.
