Luca has a crush

Luca had a problem.

He had a crush on his best friend, Charli.

He didn't know why he did. Maybe it was because of the way she talked, or how cute she was, or her cheery personality. Nevertheless, he had a crush on Charli.

And somehow, Charli never picked up on the hints that he liked her.

Oof.

Today was the day that he decided to finally confess his feelings to her. Maybe then she'd like him. Maybe.

But he needed some help. And he knew exactly who to talk to.

During 6th period health, a class with both freshmen and sophomores for some reason, there was a substitute teacher, who gave them all a free period (lucky). Which meant that Luca had the chance to talk to his neighbor.

Luca: Hey, Pico, I need your help.

If you'd read the second chapter, you'd know that the FNF gang and the squad all got detention. You may also recall that Boyfriend and Alex had made amends.

But what you DON'T know is that during detention, Pico and Luca had talked a bit about... bad stuff. Later on, they discovered that they shared 6th period together, giving them more time to talk about the bad stuff. They eventually became good friends. 

Pico: What do you need help with?

Luca: You see, I have a crush on Charli-

Pico: I know.

Luca: Y-YOU KNEW?!

Pico: It was really obvious.

Luca: W-well, I was thinking about telling her how I feel about her. 

Pico: Tonight?

Luca: Yeah!

Pico: Okay, I can help. I'm pretty good with romance.

Luca:

Luca: Didn't you break up with-

Pico: This isn't about me, it's about you.

So later that evening, Luca invited Charli to the park to hang out. And what a beautiful night it was. Perfect for romance.

Pico, through some sort of earpiece: It's been 2 hours, are you gonna tell her yet or what?

Luca, whispering through the earpiece: Don't worry, I will.

Charli: Luca, I have to tell you something.

Luca could feel his heart pounding.

Luca: Oh? W-what do you wanna tell me?

Charli: You see, I have a crush on someone.

Luca could feel his heart pounding even more.

Luca: Oh? W-who do you have a crush on?

Charli: I... I have a crush on...

Luca was sweating. Did Charli actually have feelings for him?

Charli: ...Light.

Luca: Oh.

Luca felt his heart shatter into what felt like a million pieces. 

Charli: As my best friend, I felt like you should know.

Luca: Oh... okay. It's totally cool.

It was not.

Charli: Oh! I have to go home now! See you tomorrow?

Luca: Yeah... see you tomorrow.

Charli then proceeded to leave. 

Luca: Pico? You can come out now.

Pico jumped out of the bushes.

Pico: Wow. That didn't go well at all.

Luca: You don't say.

Pico: Do you want me to kill Light for you?

Luca: Wha- no?! Charli would be heartbroken!

Pico: But I thought you had a crush on her?

Luca: Yeah, but I feel like killing Light wouldn't be nice.

Pico: I see...

The two stood in silence for a moment, until they both eventually left.
