Savannah woke up tired, she didn't sleep a wink the night before or the night before that. It's been a week since Bucky told her he couldn't do whatever this was between them, it's been a week since she realized she loved him. She reaches over her body pillow and grabs her phone, no message from Bucky, not that she had expected him to reach out. He made his feelings clear. Jessica has sent her a message though.

Jessica: Hey, just reminding you about brunch. Kids can't wait to see Auntie Sass 🥰

Sass: I miss them too. Will Brock be there this time?

Last week, Brock had not been present for brunch, stating he had a prior arrangement with Jack.

Jessica: He has no choice.

She tossed the phone down, rubbing her swollen belly as the little one within started to kick around. It had taken everything in her power not to message Bucky to tell him that she could feel Munchkin kicking from the outside now.

Jiji yawned, stretching his paws out, kneading the body pillow where he had slept so peacefully until being jostled. He gently knocked into her hand, rubbing himself against her with a loud vibrating purr.

October was slowly approaching its end, Halloween a mere two weeks away. On the twenty-first, Savannah would have her twenty weeks ultrasound, where she would have anatomy and be able to find out the gender of Munchkin.

She wanted nothing more than for Bucky to be there when they found out if they were having a baby boy or girl. She'd once felt excited about the upcoming appointment, but now it made her nervous. She has yet to see or speak to him. With a heavy sigh, Savannah pulled herself up, sitting on the side of the bed. She popped one of her prenatal pills in, swallowing it with a swig of water before climbing out of bed for the day.

Savannah went through her morning routine, emptying her bladder first and foremost, making her bed, feeding Jiji, starting her morning cup of tea, showering, and finally getting dressed in a comfortable pair of black leggings, an 80s band tee, and her favorite cardigan. With hair-tossed up on her head, she slipped on her old worn converses.

She stands at the kitchen sink, sipping her tea, wondering how Bucky is doing. It hurt not seeing him, not being able to call or message him. She never noticed how well he had fit into her hectic life, how he made her feel. She wishes she would have paid closer attention to that, how he made her feel wanted, cared for, and appreciated. Instead, she smiles at the memory of an impromptu sleepover.

Savannah woke up feeling warm breath on the back of her neck, a solid, firm wall of muscle behind her, and a wide hand resting over her bump. Her heart soared at the gesture. She blinked at the alarm clock. It was seven o'clock in the morning, they must have passed out.

"Mornin' Angel.", Bucky rasped, voice rough with sleep. He nuzzled close, soft lips kissing her neck.

She sighed, leaning into him. "Morning.", she replied.
