Oh, let's go
Steve walks warily down the street
With his brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready, hey are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat yeah

Bucky mumbled along with Queen as he cut doubled sided adhesive tile mat. He's never used the stuff before, but he fell down a TikTok rabbit hole a few nights back and watched a guy redo his kitchen backsplash with the stuff, and it only took the guy six hours to do it all. Bucky was doing a space half the size the TikToker did, so he was pretty confident he could finish the entire backsplash today. Taking a swing from the to-go coffee he snagged at the gas station on his way in this morning, Bucky set to work.

As per usual, Bucky lost himself in his work. One song bled into another, he was in the zone, and he had to admit that it was a hell of a lot easier, he just pressed the tile onto the wall where he wanted it and moved on to the next piece. He'd cut a few pieces down to fit around the outlets and trim work; once all the pieces were in place, he stepped back, grabbed the coffee cup, took a big gulp, and quickly realized it was now cold.

The front door opened and shut. "Buck?"

He quickly stumbled through a disastrous house where ladders were set up, lumber was lying around, sawhorse with pieces of the bathroom trim stained and drying, and he was fairly positive the paint used in the living room had lead in it. The place was dangerous for him and Steve, and they knew what they were doing. Having a pregnant woman trying to maneuver through the death trap as unbalanced as she was had Bucky skidding around into the hallway, stopping when he noticed Savannah standing at the front door. Her teal scrub bottoms were tight on her thighs, and he knew her ass looked perfect, he saw it just this morning when he watched her climb into her little SUV. She had to get a large scrub top size to accommodate their growing girl; Zeppelin was now twenty-four weeks and the size of an ear of corn. In her hand was his lunchbox, she swung it with three fingers.

"Angel.", he breathed.

Savannah smiled at him. "Hey baby.", she cocked her head to the side. "Forget something?", she asked.

Bucky climbed over the bundle of insulation, wiping his hands on his jeans before touching her. "Thank you, Angel.", he murmured, leaning down for a kiss, "Let's go sit in my truck, I don't want you in this mess.", he nodded toward the door. "Not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?", he asked, taking her hand as they walked to his truck.

"I started getting Braxton Hicks, decided I should probably not be walking so much.", she said, stepping up into the passenger seat. "I talked to my DON, and I officially dropped down to PRN.", she told him as he climbed in the driver's seat.

"Angel face, you're gonna have to speak English for me, darlin'.", he chuckled, angling his shoulders toward her.

Savannah rolled her eyes, "I talked to the director of nursing and dropped down to part-time when needed.", she explained as she watched him dig into his lunchbox. "I got home and realized you left your lunch box on the counter, so I thought I'd bring it to you.", she shrugged.
