Hey guys!

So Monday morning, I woke up with abdominal pain; I went to the doctor he could neither confirm nor deny that I had appendicitis. Which is what I figured 🤷🏼‍♀️  Four and half hours in the ER waiting room and a CT scan later confirmed I did, in fact, have an inflamed appendix. While waiting for surgery, my appendix decided to go out with a bang, which meant a hospital stay...Yay me.

I'm home and on the mend now!

The chapter count has changed; I think passed me was a little too optimistic when I planned out chapters. We have two more chapters after this one! Mentions of labor and childbirth in this one, but nothing to gruesome, I don't think anyway; I work in healthcare I'm numb to that kind of thing, lol

I hope you enjoy this chapter; it was very satisfying to write!! As always shout out to Jesse_Winter_Soldier for all your help! 🖤
Happy Reading!!

Savannah blinked, looking down at her now empty hands and back up at Sam Wilson's smiling face.

"I got this for ya, mama," he said with a wide smile, grabbing the pretty wrapped box and bag from her hands.

She gave him a tight-lipped smile, "Thanks, Sam."

"Not a problem. Why don't you go take a load off, don't want you standing on your feet too long.", he suggested.

Savannah did her best to control her face; she must have done a good job because Sam didn't comment further. She took a deep breath, telling herself it was coming from a good place; he was just being thoughtful.

"Oh, Savannah honey, let me get that," Winnie said, carefully grabbing the casserole dish of little pigs in blankets from Savannah's hands. "You shouldn't be on your feet so much in your condition, sweetheart." Winnie patted her cheek. "Why don't you go rest before everyone gets here?" she suggested.

Again Savannah looked down at her empty hands; it's not like the little sausages weighed that much, her condition....her condition...she was pregnant for fucks sake not—taking a deep breath, she calmed herself down.

"Thank you, Winnie," she smiles.

"Sssh, it's okay, Via," Savannah brushed the crying baby's dark curls back as she swayed. "I know that was scary, huh?"

Johnny had asked her to watch the one-year-old for him while he went to break up a fight between Maddie and Toby. Violet had decided it was a good time to try and take her first unassisted climb onto the couch; Savannah being very pregnant, didn't get to her fast enough, and the little girl fell back on her bottom. She was fine, but it scared her. Violet clung to her shirt, tears in her eyes as she sniffled. Savannah cooed, rubbing her back and kissing her forehead.

"Where's Johnny?" Becca asked, walking into the living room.

"Oh, the twins were fighting, so he asked me to watch little Miss here.", Savannah replied, bouncing the little girl on her hip.

"When aren't they." she rolled her eyes. "Oh, here, let me take her." Becca held her hand out, and Violet immediately went to her mother. "Johnny shouldn't have asked you to do that.", she sighed.

Savannah blinked at the remark, "It wasn't a problem; he needed to go settle Maddie and Toby." she shrugged.

"I know, and it's nothing against you, I promise!" Becca rushed out. "I just know how exhausting the last month of pregnancy is, and Via is all squirmy, and it's exhausting chasing her around." Becca waved her hand around. "Do you need to sit down or anything?" she asked, swaying with the toddler looking slightly concerned.
