Baldhart woke up to the sun shining through the window by her bed. The other two girls in her dorm had already left, their beds unmade and clothes on the floor. Baldhart dragged herself out of bed, leaving the blankets thrown around the mattress. Her arms reached towards the ceiling as she stood on her tip toes and closed her eyes, making baby dinosaur noises as she stretched the sleepy feeling away.
Rubbing her eyes, she made her way to her bright pink, open suitcase at the foot of her bed. She dug through her suitcase until she found her favorite shirt. It was purple with a dark pink, sequin, heart in the middle. The sequins could be flipped over to reveal three vanilla cupcakes with pink and purple frosting. She grabbed a purple skirt, a fresh pair of underwear, and white socks with purple at the top. After changing out of her pink Minnie Mouse pajamas and into her new outfit, she slipped her feet into her bright pink, sparkly Jojo Siwa sneakers. She brushed her hair, pulling it into two pigtails on the top of her head using pink hair ties. She slipped her favorite pink and purple bracelet on her tiny wrist and looked in the mirror. Then, with a satisfied nod, she grabbed her pink backpack and went to the cafeteria for breakfast. Ready for her first day of American school.
