ILANG MINUTO PAGKATAPOS NG PANLOLOOB, dumating ang mga pinadalang assailants mula sa headquarters. Tumigil ang sinasakyan nilang itim na kotse sa tapat ng Shinju mansion at doon ay sinalubong sila ng mga kapwa nag-iimbestigang FBIs sa pinangyarihan ng krimen.
"Bawal na pong dumaan sa parteng ito ng subdivision."
Bumukas ang bintana ng driver's seat at ipinakita roon ang isang babae na nakasalamin. "Parte kami ng investigation unit." Ipinakita nito ang ID at isang red business card. "Pinadala kami galing Shinju Head Security Agency para imbestigahan ang nangyari sa mga kasamahan namin."
"Gano'n ho ba? Sige sige. Papasukin sila!"
"Alam niyo ang totoong pinunta natin dito," the leader of the assailants spoke softly inside the car. "Find the boy, find out who did this, and then report back to me." Nagsibabaan na sa kotse ang lahat mula sa loob at kanya-kanyang rumesponde sa lugar.
The one who got out last smelled the metallic scent of the environment. "There's blood everywhere. What the hell."
"We're assigned in this area," sagot ng lalaki sa likuran, "let's do our job real quick." Yumuko ito pababa at hinawakan ang tuyong dugo sa damo kasama ang nakakalat na mga bala. "The bullets did not look like they were successfully fired at the target. If they did, there wouldn't have been these many bullets scattered on the ground."
A woman entered the scene. "Quiet aggression. Heartbeat attack. Volatile evasions. That thing simply pulled a stare and somehow managed to cut them down. This person was untouchable."
Parehing nag-salute ang dalawang lalaki sa mission leader.
Tinanguan lamang sila ng babae. "What's on your mind?"
The man from earlier paused. He continued to search the area with his eye. Pinasadahan nito ng kalkuladong tingin ang gated residence at tila napako 'yon sa bakuran na kasalukuyang pinalalamutitan ng nakakalat na mga katawan. "No doubt about it. A VAL. The question now is who?"
"Being a criminal profiler is pretty sure hard..." mahinang bulong ng nauna niyang kasama. Napailing na lamang siya rito at muling ibinalik ang tingin sa may bakuran. Nakaresponde na ang medical team sa mga napuruhang north wing guards na naroroon. Gumagalaw pa ang mga ito kaya isang bagay lamang ang pumasok sa isipan niya.
"The intruder disabled them just enough to immobilize them." He shifts his eye then found himself looking up at the Shinju Residence. "Yet who knows what that being pulled off to beat the stronger ones."
Nagsalita ang kasama niyang criminal profiler. "If that thing managed to stop bullets by a glance, it wouldn't be surprising if all the CCTV footage in this mansion had been wiped clean through frequency distortion."
He nodded at his partner's comment. "No one can do such a silent as well as avoracious attack like this... Nothing else but a monster."
