The Play

This week has been pretty busy for me. I learned that I had gotten Juliet and the role of Romeo, which wasn't surprising, went to Danny. I had also been hanging around the 3 musketeers more lately since we all knew that Danny was a ghost, it gave us more time together. I had been helping him with fighting ghosts a bit so I did get a few cuts and bruises. The play was more important for now. Sam and Tucker were cast as my parents, Valerie was my understudy, Dash and Eli were some of the town folks, and Paulina got a role that suited her; The sun. I was worried about the ending though, the kissing scene. Every time I and Danny rehearsed at his or my house we would always skip over that part because he would say something like, " Let's save it for the finale." It was clearly because he felt uncomfortable with it. I didn't tell him what I thought though, it would've made it too awkward.

Night of the Play

I looked behind the curtain and out to the audience. I saw a few familiar faces, like the Fenton's, Valerie's dad, The Foley's, The Manson's , and of course, my mom. " You got this!" Mom mouthed to me and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled and turned back so I could give myself a small pep talk. " You are a winner. You can do this. Don't chicken out now-" " Y/N, you okay? " Danny interrupted. " Oh yeah, I'm fine. Totally fine. You know what? Since the kissing scene might be too hard maybe Valerie should just do it. Y'know what? Imma go get her-" " Wait, don't!" He grabbed my wrist to stop me. " I wanna kiss you! Er-I mean...you worked so hard to get the part, it would be a shame if you lost it. " He rubbed the back of his neck as he started to blush. Danny pulled me into a hug and whispered something into my ear. " We can do this, I promise. It'll only be for a short second. " He tries to reassure me. We watch the opening scene. 2 servants talk about how they dislike the Montages, and they broke out into a fight soon after.

It was finally the time when I and Danny would be in the same scene together. His lines were first. " If I profane my unworthiness hand, Thus holy strine, The sin is this; My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand. To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss. " He finishes his line and holds out his hand toward me. " Good pilgrims, you do wrong with your hand too much. Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims, hands do not touch. And palm to palm is holy Palmers' kiss. " Me and Danny kept going back and forth between our lines, it was now time for the first kissing scene. It went by fast since we had more lines soon after so there was no time for a real reaction.

Now it was time for the window scene. One of the most important, scenes. The scene that Danny referenced that one night.

" But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It's the east and Juliet is the sun. " Danny points to Paulina, the sun. " O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore are thou Romeo?" I pretend to look around. This was so fun, but Juliet was so stupid.

Now for the last part, the most important and well-known. The last scene that Danny didn't do with me until now that is. I lay on the ground and he enters looking worried. The whole crowd gasped and I just assumed it was because of what was happening in the scene, but of course it wasn't. " I have come for my princess!" A big ghost dragon yelled and grabbed me. I screamed at the top of my lungs in utter fear. Danny couldn't go ghost in front of the whole city...what could I do to help myself? The whole audience thought that it was a part of the show so adleast everyone was calm. I glanced over to Danny and he pulled something out of his vest. It was the thermos, he ran around the set trying to make the dragon confused. The dragon tried it's best to crush him but didn't succeed. Danny held it out and sucked the ghost up, before it dropped me he caught me and the crowd cheered. He set me down and drank the ' poison ' as tears hit his eyes. At that moment woke up and stabbed myself with the dager due to seeing his dead body. Me and him stood up and the rest of the cast walked out and took a bow with us. Everyone started to clap again and we all smiled at each other.

Tonight Tucker, Sam, Danny, and I went to the Nasty Burger to celebrate our success. " That was cool but exhausting!" Sam yawned. " You know what guys? Danny and Y/N kissed each other so many times in their life. A bunch when she was Kitty, 3 times today, and I'm sure you have more than that. " He smirked at us while raising a brow. " No we didn't!" We yelled at him in unison, blushing...
