-- Part 1 --
Samuel stood between Felix and Eric. It had been a few days since he last texted Addi, and now she had gathered the entire group of four near the eastern outskirts of Vilova to prepare for heading up the ridge of the mountains to reach Von Kennedy's Manor. All four of them were in some kind of suit that Addi had more or less thrown at them, with Felix and Sam in simple white suits, and Eric in a black one to match with Addi. His brown and green metal body fit nicely in his suit, while the two screens that made up his eyes displayed an exclamation mark for excitement, and the screen for his mouth displayed a jagged grin.
"This is it! We're gonna go up there, and crash the party!" Addi pumped her fist in the air and grinned, causing Felix to sigh and Eric to do his own much smaller fist pump.
"What if we get caught?" Felix glanced up at the mansion and back to Addi, "We could get in huge trouble with Von. And no one wants that."
"Hey, relax! Evan's got us covered!" Samuel wrapped his arm around Felix's shoulders and smiled. "He more or less gave us an invite!"
Eric's pupils turned into question marks, "But aren't the Kennedys the only ones allowed to invite-"
Addi slammed her hand over her Midot friend's mouth, causing a small clank of metal as her bracelet hit his metal face. "Hush! You'll blow the operation!"
Felix frowned and gently patted Eric's back, "What is this 'operation' anyways?"
"Simple!" Samuel stepped forth and turned to his friend, "I spoke to Evan, he is gonna unlock a side door, we sneak in, dance a bit, steal some snacks, and Addi... 'Shuffles the playlist'."
Eric tilted his head, "What do you mean?"
"I am gonna hijack their soundsystem!" Addi raised up her phone and grinned, "All I need to do is find a place to plug this in and we are good to go!"
Felix looked behind her at the setting sun and sighed, "Well, I can't stop you, so I might as well just keep you out of too much trouble." He folded his wings behind him and began walking up the road to the mansion.
"Ah! Wait up!" Addi rushed forward and grabbed Felix, stopping him in his tracks and forcing him to turn around.
"What now-"
"Sam! Eric! Take these!" Addi pulled out a small bag and opened it up, reaching in and pulling out two faintly glowing blue flowers and offering them to her friends.
The duo stared in awe at the plant as Addi and Felix put their flowers in their hair and on their suit respectively. Eric reached out and took the flower, his pupils rotating as if loading before glowing blue and fading back to normal. He grinned as he put it on his suit, "They look pretty!"
Samuel noticed the glow and glanced over at Addi and Felix, both of which were currently busy debating how big the mansion would be.
That was... Weird. He doesn't seem worried though. Maybe I am just seeing the reflection? He shook his head and put the flower on his own suit.
"Come on, it's gotta be like, a hundred stories!"
"You have SEEN the pictures of it! It is FOUR stories tall!"
"That's just what they want us to think!"
Samuel jumped between Addi and Felix, "Guys, we can confirm it when we get in!"
Addi grinned, "Then let's go!" She gripped Felix's hand once more and led the way up the mountain, being closely followed by Eric and Samuel.
Eric quietly turned to Sam with question marks in his eyes, "How big do you think it is?"
