-- Part 1 --

Moonlight bathed four figures as they jumped and flew between the rooftops of District 3. Nightstalk was in the lead, his black body armor blending into the night sky as his cloak blew behind him in the wind. Wisp floating directly to the right of him, her dark gray scarf wrapped loosely around her neck, with the ends tucked into her black jacket. A little ways behind them, Evan was floating on a dark stormcloud, with Catherine flying silently next to him.

"So, mister smoke bomb-"

Lillith was hastily interrupted by the hero, "Nightstalk."

She turned and stared at him, as if questioning the audacity of his correction before continuing. "Nightstalk, how much longer are we going to be out?"

"Getting tired already?" His chuckle was muffled slightly by his mask while Wisp shook her head in denial.

"No, but the sky warrior and creature of the night are slowing down."

Nightstalk skid to a halt on a roof and turned around, seeing Evan and Catherine typing away on their phones as they slowly floating towards them. "So, Wisp, ever ran a stealth op?"

"No, why? Oh wait! Are we gonna-" The hero quickly covered her mouth with his hand and breathed out a small cloud of smoke, quickly concealing the two of them in darkness. They stood in silence for a few minutes, listening to the faint sound of beating wings pass over them before the two of them stuck their heads out and saw Evan and Catherine flying away from them.

"The goal is simple. Follow them, gather information, and don't get caught."

"Won't they notice we aren't in front of them anymore?"

The stealth hero clasped his hands together, "If they do that makes it all the more fun, and difficult. Think of it like a game of hide and seek."

"Ok!"

"And be quiet."

"Yes mister smoke bomb."

Ahead of them, Evan was now laying on his cloud looking up at the moons, while Catherine sat next to him to rest her wings. Her fingers rapidly typed out a message, and a second later his phone dinged.

'I don't know if I'll ever get used to our two and a half moons. Palici only had one.'

Evan lifted his phone to his face and smiled softly. "Yeah, it's a pretty big difference. Makes the whole night brighter in a way."

'Not as bright as your lightning though."

"Was- was that a flirt?!" Evan sputtered and almost dropped his phone on his face, causing Catherine to giggle.

'Nah, just a fact.'

He quickly recovered at the slight vibration of his phone and held it back up, "Well you are technically correct. Though my dad's lightning is far brighter."

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Catherine scrunch up her nose before texting a response.

'You always bring up your dad, but never your mom. Is something up with that?'

The two of them locked eyes, Evan carefully studying her curious face before sighing and looking away from her and towards the city skyline. "Yeah uh, I just don't really have much to say about her. That's all."

'You sure?'

He glanced back at his phone before sitting up and crossing his legs. "She... I don't know how else to put this. She doesn't know who I am." He turns to face Catherine, feeling his phone vibrate but ignoring it. "It isn't really anything... Bad, per say. She suffers from amnesia."
