-- Part 1 --

Abraham hummed a small tune while setting the table in the dining room, with the high ceiling's chandelier lighting up the entire room. Behind him, through a set of double doors, his wife, Dealla was busy finishing dinner, and already sitting at the table was his teenage daughter, Vivian.

She had heterochromatic eyes, with her right eye being brown, and her left being green. She was in a silver and white shirt, with a long skirt covering her legs, and her rainbow streaked hair tied into a ponytail.

"Honey! Dinner's almost ready! Where's the guests?" Dealla stepped out of the kitchen and raised her eyebrow. She was dressed in a simple white outfit with an apron, and her long white hair tied into a bun.

"If I had to guess, right on time-" After Grey finished, as if on cue the doorbell rang, causing Vivian to spring up and run to answer it.

"Luther! Celeste!" The girl grinned as she hugged her unofficial aunt and uncle.

"Little Vivian!" Luther grabbed the girl in his metal arms and lifted her up, despite her being nearly fully grown. "Dang, you got big!"

Celeste chuckled, using her crimson scarf to grab Vivian and set her firmly on the ground, "Hey now, how is she supposed to go be a hero if you just pick her up like a doll?"

Luther gasped and crouched down, "You know, I used to be a hero too! With your mom and dad! Mister Grey, Misses White, and Master Black!"

The girl rolled her eyes and giggled in amusement, "I'm not that small anymore, uncle. Tomorrow is actually my first day!"

"Ah you grew so fast kid! I remember when I could cradle you in a single arm!" Black chuckled as Celeste moved towards the dining room, smirking.

"Hey, Grey, thanks for getting us that break the other day. We definitely needed it." She sat down and sighed softly.

"It was more or less forced upon us by Swan, but I agree nonetheless. It has been nice to be home for more than sleep." He smiled and went back to the kitchen, helping Dealla carry the food to the table before both of them sat down, followed by Luther and Vivian quickly taking their own seats.

Celeste reached over and started dishing her plate, "So I heard you're putting little Vivian in the hero program?"

Grey nodded while adjusting his tie, "Indeed. We discussed it all last week, and she is extremely persistent on becoming a hero, so who are we to hold her back."

She nodded, taking in the information quietly before Luther spoke up, "You know Grey, Celeste's niece is getting into the program too! I can see it now!" He thrusted his hand forward dramatically, "Prism and Wisp!"

Dealla smiled and gently patted Vivian's shoulder, "Those two are gonna cause a storm when they get in. It might be enough to deter any future villain attacks like what happened the other day."

Celeste nodded in response, swallowing a bite of food, "Hopefully. But with two new power houses the kids will definitely be better off."

Vivian crossed her arms, "You all aren't just putting me in the program to defend the other kids, right?"

Black shook his head, "Definitely not. Those students are perfectly capable of handling themselves, and overall did pretty well during a full on attack! If anything, you might have to show them that they don't need to defend you!"

Grey nodded and took a sip of his water, "We gotta make sure you make a good first impression to prove to everyone that you belong in the course. I'm not saying show off or make a scene, but you definitely need to do something to show you are capable."
