VISENYA AND AEMOND TARGARYEN reached Borros' chambers swiftly. They had to fight through quite a few knights before they were able to get inside. Borros didn't seem surprised to see them. He had a feeling they wouldn't succumb to the assassins, but he was a prideful man until the end, as Rhaenyra said. He wasn't going to back down that easily.
"I see my plan did not work," Borros said when the Prince and Princess entered.
"And what plan was that exactly? To push forward the already coming war?" Visenya asked. Borros chuckled as he looked at her.
"You are as smart as they say. The House of the Dragon cannot decide who rules it... but maybe it was time for a new house to take the Iron Throne. I thought if your factions killed each other thinking the two of you murdered each other, someone new could ascend," Borros said.
"It would be a Velaryon before it would be you or anyone from your house. Sure, your house shares blood with ours, but Velaryons are also the blood of Old Valyria," Visenya snapped.
"So what is the offer now, girl?" He asked.
"You called me foolish for rejecting the Princess' offer to marry and become the future King-Consort... yet she offered it to you and you plotted her murder, why?" Aemond asked, speaking for the first time since they entered the room. Borros looked at him before turning to Visenya.
"Because I knew her game. She was telling me what I wanted to hear so that I would support her mother. I knew she would not actually wed me," Borros said. Visenya laughed as she shrugged her shoulders.
"I suppose you are smarter than you look," Visenya said.
"So what now, Princess? Either I swear fealty to your mother, or you kill me?" Borros asked. Visenya smiled as she shook her head.
"No... now, I bring my mother your head for trying to kill her heir, and I will give your remaining knights the chance to swear fealty... and I'm sure they will, if they do not want to end up like you," Visenya said. When Borros took a step forward, Visenya felt Aemond shift, but she held her hand up to stop him. "Pick up the swords of one of your knights. I will not kill an unarmed man," She said.
Visenya allowed Borros to pick up a sword and when he lunged to attack her, she swiftly dodged, maneuvered her way around him, and drove her sword into his back, but she did not give a fatal wound, yet. Borros groaned out in pain as he was struck with pure Valyrian steel. When Visenya twisted the sword, he fell to his knees. Visenya grabbed his hair and roughly pulled her sword from his back, causing another howl of pain. She leaned down to his ear and smiled.
"You were right... I never would've married you," She whispered in his ear before bringing her sword to his throat and quickly slashing it. His blood sprayed as his body fell from her hold, covering her in more blood. Visenya placed herself on top of Borros' body to cleanly cut off his head from his body.
