The life of an artist is an interesting one
From the outside
It looks so simple
To draw
To paint
To write
To design
You look at their art
"That's cool," you say
Then you look away
But is doesn't matter anyway
The way you express yourself
Is different from us
You may never understand
What it's like to explain your head
Using only the pen that's in your hand
Such abstract ideas
Believe it or not
You have them too
We all do
That little kid inside of you
You brushed away to chase other things
Like money, a job, or a brand new house
Push them away all you want
But maybe every once in a while
You can let them out
Use your imagination
And join us
Live it, love it, and let it consume you
