As promised the new year came and Y/n began her princess training. She had to read long boring books on the different realms, take many language lessons, learn how to be a public figure since that was what Odin wanted of his daughter. She was told that she was born to be the peacekeeper of the realms and be the communicant between the worldly leaders. Even though she only looked to be about 9 years old at the beginning of her Princess Duty journey, she was very kind, intelligent and wise beyond her years.

All throughout the realms word had spread of the young Asgardian Princess and her abilities that were beginning to flourish. Though the word was of impressive news and to most it was great to hear that Asgard was continuing to be the Kingdom it was meant to be. It also reached dark areas of the galaxy. Reaching people who only wanted to meet her to enslave her for her abilities.

Since she was also the Goddess of Beauty, her mother explained that many men would fall at her feet but she shouldn't fall for such tactics. When she truly found someone who loved her beyond her looks she explained that she would know it in her heart. In her magic lessons, now taking place with her mother as well, she learned about being the Goddess of Night and Stars.

She was gifted a bracelet to harness and help control her powers. It was a simple golden bangle, with a Star that attached the two ends. In the center of that star was a very small silvery gem. In contained a star, real and harnessed from the outer space surrounding Asgard and shrunken down to size. So a piece of home was always with her. Y/n found that she harnessed the power of a star within her body which was how she was given her title.

She could summon a ball of light into her hands and maneuver it like energy. She had silvery wisps that gathered and crackled at her fingertips like electric energy. She was so powerful in fact that if she tried hard enough she could explode with such power that could blow up planets. Though she obviously never wanted to have to try and do that. Y/n could also manipulate water as well with her gifts, being that she had control over the stars which gave power over water.

A few hundred Asgardian years had passed and Y/n was about to make her way to a planet she loved to visit called Xandar. It was beautiful, peaceful, and some place she felt free. As she made her way to her ship to leave on her quest once again, Loki pulled his sister aside before her journey.

"Y/n, I have something for you." Loki whispered. He quickly reached his hand into the vest of his clothing and brought out a silver chain. Attached to the end was a small glowing white crystal.

"Oh, Loki. It's beautiful. Wherever did you get it?" Y/n asked surprised that her brother was giving her something so precious and clearly valuable.

"I came by it on my travels. I went looking for it actually. It's a crystal that's said to harness the heart of a dying star inside." Loki explained as his sister listened intently. "The legend says that there are only two in existence. I carry the other." He pulled the chain from his neck to show her the replica crystal. "It states that the wearer's shall be connected through the bond of the sibling stars inside the crystals. Giving the wearer's the ability to know if the other is okay. It also says that if the wearer shall die while it's worn. The dying star will give it's last breath for the master."

"That's insane." Y/n breathed as she looked at the necklace. "I don't know if I can accept this, Loki."

"You're the only person I care about, Y/n/n. Please, I have the worst feeling of dread about you leaving today and since I won't be able to convince Father otherwise. This will be give me peace of mind. So just take it." Loki demanded her in his bossy brotherly way.

She rolled the small crystal in her hand feeling the power of the dying star inside. She sighed and nodded her head agreeing to take on the necklace. Loki gently wrapped the thin silver chain around her neck and clipped it on her. Y/n smiled at the necklace and tucked it inside her dress. Y/n embraced her brother and headed off for her ship. With the wave of her hand towards her family, Thor, Loki and her Mother, she bid them farewell and see you soon.
