We ran all the way back to the sleeping quarters. The sun had started to go down once again. I knew we'd likely find Mantis with Drax again and I was right. We all charged into his room to see the two speaking. Gamora pushed past me with her fury rage taking over control. She grabbed Mantis by the throat and pinned her up against the wall."Who are you people?" Gamora demanded. "What is this place!" She yelled.
"Gamora, this isn't the way." I stated firmly.
"Gamora, let her go!" Drax demanded.
"The bodies in the caverns... Who are they?" Gamora demanded still not letting Mantis down.
"You are scared." Mantis said as her antennae lit up holding Gamora's arm.
Gamora immediately dropped Mantis and backed away from her seemingly panicking.
"Gamora, look at me. Breathe." I said calmly.
"What did she do to me?!" Gamora gasped.
"Drax, what is going on?" I demanded as he helped Mantis off the floor.
"She already told me everything." Drax relayed.
"The bodies... are his children." Mantis said and I gasped.
My heart raced in my chest with fear. We all looked at each other worriedly.
"We need to find Quill now, and get off this damn planet." Gamora growled.
"Ego will have won him to his side by now." Mantis explained solemnly. "He has a way..."
"Then we just go." Nebula suggested.
"No." I demanded harshly. "Peter is our friend and my stubborn, big headed boyfriend. We do not leave without him."
"All any of you do is yell at each other. You are not friends... And you could do better." Nebula mentioned.
"You're right." Drax cut in. "She could. But we're family. We leave no one behind... Except maybe you." Drax looked at Nebula.
"Oh, my god." Nebula groaned and shook her head.
I suddenly felt like something was attacking my very soul and I gasped in pain. Gamora and Drax had rushed closer to me holding me up with confusion and worry written across their faces.
"Peter, he's in trouble." I grunted somehow feeling that he was in trouble. I heard a beeping coming from my pocket and I grabbed the transmitter. "Rocket? Oh, thank god."
"Keep that transmitter nearby, so I can find you, Princess." Rocket's voice relayed. "We're in an old piece of construction equipment Yondu once used to slice open the Bank os A'askavaria."
"Ego's a Celestial planet and he's got Peter." I responded.
"I know. Get ready."
We all began to run towards the palace. I gasped seeing the blue glow filing it and I pushed myself to move even faster. I was just about to the door when I came to a skidding stop and I covered my eyes with my hand. The glow became even brighter and I could feel Peter's pain as well as hear him yell. I burst through the front doors seeing Ego with his arms spread out and his energy surrounding him. I looked beside him to see Peter with a giant blue tendril stuck through his chest. Guess that explains the pain, but I wasn't sure why I could feel his pain.
