Before You Go (Skephalo)

Chapter 5

Bad and Skeppy rode over half the rides and it was getting dark. They decided to walk around and get some food.

They both got a slice of pizza and a thing of cotton candy to share. They sat down together in the grass and looked up at the beautiful lights and rides. Bad looked over at Skeppy, smiling. Skeppy smiled back. At this moment it felt like nothing else mattered but the two of them.

Skeppy grabbed a chunk of cotton candy and shoved it into Bads mouth. "Stop looking at me like that."

"Looking at you like what?" Bad asked, muffled by the cotton candy.

"You know what you're doing." Skeppy replied, a bit flustered.

"No I don't?" Bad questioned. Skeppy rolled his eyes jokingly. "Did you mean like this?" Bad asked, inching closer to Skeppys face and fluttering his eyelashes.

"Oh my gosh stop, you look dumb" Skeppy giggled, pushing Bad back a bit and looking away.

Bad giggled, "You know you like it."

"Yeah whatever." Skeppy replied, jokingly annoyed.

"Shut up and eat your pizza, you muffin." Bad said before taking a bite of his own.

"I don't know, you got the better slice."

"What do you mean?" Bad questioned. Before Bad could even blink, Skeppy took Bads hand with the pizza and took a big bite.

"Skeppyy! You have your oowwn!" Bad whined.

"But yours is soo much better." Skeppy teased.

Bad pulled his hand out of Skeppys and shoved the rest of his pizza in his mouth.

"Jesus christ dude, don't choke." Skeppy laughed.

"MmmmHamm mahnnahmm hnnnmmanm."

Skeppy laughed "Come again?" He watched Bad continue struggling to eat it. Bad put one finger up, signaling "one second" as he chewed as fast as he could.

Once Bad finished, he took Skeppys hand and took a big bite out of his pizza.

"Revenge." Bad said muffled.

"Hey!" Skeppy pulled his hand away. He looked at Bads satisfied face as he chewed it. Skeppy jokingly rolled his eyes again and took a bite of his own. "You're such a dork, Bad."

"I am not!" Bad reached for the pizza to try and take another bite, but Skeppy jolted away.

"Nice try." Skeppy sarcastically said. "Dork."

Bad grunted and backed off. He then grabbed the cotton candy and started digging in. Skeppy finished his pizza and put his arm around Bad. Bad blushed and hesitantly put his head on his shoulder.

"This is.. so weird." Skeppy giggled.

Bad lifted his head from his shoulder. "You're the one making it weird, muffinhead." he defended before eating more cotton candy. Skeppy pulled him back onto his shoulder and they finished the bag together.

A bit later, they started walking again, looking for other rides they hadn't done yet. Bad pointed at a ferris wheel and smirked.

"Oh come on, those are so boring." Skeppy complained.

"Yeah whatever, we're doing it." Bad replied, grabbing his arm and leading him to the line.

"Noo." Skeppy whined.

"Yeess." Bad replied, mocking him.

"Fine but only because you're too scared to go alone." Skeppy joked.

"What!?" Bad shouted, offended. "What are you talking about!?" Skeppy giggled in response.

They reached the line and got on after about 2 minutes of waiting. Bad sat on one side and Skeppy sat across on the other.

As the ride started lifting them into the air, Skeppy immediately started fake sleeping, snoring dramatically, until Bad pushed him.

"Skeppy stop it!"

Skeppy giggled, "You're so fun to mess with."

"Yeah whatever." Bad crossed his arms jokingly.

Skeppy looked out at the pretty scenery. It was silent for a bit. Skeppy then looked back at Bad. Bad was already staring at him. His face was glowing in the moonlight. His eyes sparkling, and a focused expression on his face. Skeppy felt his heart skip a beat. The way Bad was looking at him felt like magic. Bad felt it too and looked away, flustered. This is the first time Skeppy realized that maybe Bad was feeling this too. He had assumed Bad felt purely platonically, even when they did things like hold hands. But in this moment, Skeppy knew both of them could feel the tension.

They were both looking away now, and out at the scenery again.

"Its so beautiful.." Bad said softly.

Skeppy panicked and decided it was about time to break the tension.

"Eh I've seen better." Skeppy joked.

"Skeppyy." Bad whined softly.

Skeppy looked back towards Bad. Bad had a soft smile and eyes sparkling brighter than before. Skeppys attempt to break the tension had failed and he was feeling it even stronger. All he could think about was how cute Bad looked and how badly he wanted to kiss him. The tone in his voice, the look in his eyes, the scenery, everything about this moment was making Skeppy go crazy. He would do anything to just grab him by the shirt and pull him in. Finally kiss his lips. Finally taste him after all these years. The moment seemed perfect. He was starting to gain the courage to finally do it, until the tension faded.

Bad started worrying that maybe it was only him feeling this way. His mind raced with doubt. Skeppy wouldve made a joke or comment if he felt it too, right? Bad looked away and his smiled turned into a sort of disappointed expression. Skeppy was doing so good at hiding his inner feelings that Bad felt himself get kind of.. sad.

Skeppy noticed the mood shift and got sort of worried. "You okay?" Skeppy asked gently.

"Yes, Skeppy, I just-" He paused as he looked back into Skeppys eyes.

Suddenly the ride stopped and it was time to get off. Perfect timing. They got off and started walking to their next ride. Both brushed it off and pretended that moment never happened.

"Ooh! This one looks fun!" Skeppy said.

"Ooh! Skeppy, you're right." Bad replied, an excited tone in his voice. Skeppy was relieved that Bad didn't seem sad anymore.

They got on and both grabbed onto their bars in anticipation. They looked at each other for a split second until the ride sped off. Both Bad and Skeppy screamed in excitement as the ride sped through loopty loops and big dips.

They hung out at the theme park for another hour, then decided to head back to the hotel. They rode every ride at least once and were pretty tired.

The car ride back was nice. Skeppy chose the music again and when Muffin came on, Bad got super excited. He sung along to every word and teased Skeppy when his "eboy" line came on. Normally Skeppy would get defensive, but the joy in Bads voice made him too happy to be upset.

They reached the hotel and both fell back onto the bed, relieved.

"What a day, I'm exhausted." Bad said.

"Me too."

They laid there for a little bit before Skeppy got up.

"Welp, I'm gonna go change in the bathroom, you can change out here."

Bad gave a thumbs up and Skeppy took his clothes into the bathroom.

Bad got up and started going through his stuff, looking for his pajamas. That's when Bad saw the little pride flag Skeppy bought. Bad felt his heart start racing. Did this mean Skeppy was.. gay?
