Before You Go (Skephalo)

Chapter 10

The two were running around their hotel room, frantically getting ready. This was the first day of vidcon and they'd be speaking at a panel together. Both decided to wear their own merch so they'd be easier recognized.

"You ready?" Skeppy asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Bad smiled.

The two got out of the car. They looked at the place flooded with people. Youtubers and fans of all kind were everywhere. Skeppy noticed how anxious Bad looked so he put his arm around him.

"Hey, It's okay. It's gonna be fun! These people love you." Skeppy reassured.

Bad smiled sheepishly "I know. But its just so many strangers who know me." He started walking with Skeppy into the building. Immediately they ran into Quackity. Great.

"Aay man!" Quackity shouted in his joke accent.

"Hi Quackity." Bad replied sweetly.

"Ooo so when did this become canon?" Quackity teased, pointing at Skeppy's arm around Bad.

"Same day your mom and Karl did." Skeppy replied smugly.

"Boom!" Bad yelled out.

"Woow. Real original, Skeppy." Quackity replied.

"He got you!" Bad laughed. "Roasted!"

"Chill the hell out, Bad." Quackity replied.

Bad crossed his arms, then heard a familiar voice approaching. "Bad! is that you!?" It was CaptainPuffy running towards them.

Bad turned around and felt pure excitement when he saw her face. "Puffy!" Bad ran towards her and they hugged.

Skeppy felt jealousy build up, but tried his best to ignore it by talking to Quackity. "Who else is gonna be here?" Skeppy asked.

"Pretty much everyone. Unless they bailed."

"Bro this is gonna be so weird! I've only met you and Sapnap in person."

"And me!" Skeppy heard a familiar voice behind him. He turned around to see Lya.

"What! Oh my God! Hi! I didnt know you were invited." Skeppy said excitedly, giving her a hug.

"Well technically I wasn't invited, I bought a pass." She lifted her lanyard to show her guest pass. "I wanted to surprise you at your first panel."

"Well It's great to see you. Even if we see each other all the time. You can finally meet Bad!" Skeppy turned to look at him. He noticed him smiling and giggling with Puffy. He felt a knot tense in his stomach. "Er- I guess he's busy. You'll meet him later."

"Hi Lya." Quackity spoke.

"Hi Alex." She laughed.

Bad walked back up to them with Puffy by his side. "I don't know why I put this off for so long. This is already great!" He spoke.

"Me neither." Skeppy replied sarcastically. "You ready for our panel? It starts in a few minutes."

"And just like that, I remember why I put it off."

"Hey. They love you." Puffy comforted. "They came here to see you."

"But what if.. What if they're just like my old fanbase? What if It's all memes? What if they're here to laugh at me?"

Skeppy put an arm back around Bad. "Trust me. They're here because they adore you. If anyone laughs, then they have me to deal with."

Bad smiled sheepishly and lightly blushed at Skeppys comfort.

"It's me. I'm the guy here to laugh at you." Quackity joked. Puffy nudged him and most of the group laughed.

"You guys are going to do great! I'll be in the audience cheering you both on." Lya added.

"Aw Lya thats so sweet." Bad said.

"Speaking of that. You guys should start heading over." She added.

Skeppy removed his arm from Bad to check the time on his phone. "Crap. You're right. Lets go." Bad noticed his wallpaper was him and blushed before getting pulled off into the direction of their panel.

Skeppy and Bad got settled backstage. Lya was the first one there and took a front row seat. Skeppy and Bad peaked out from behind the stage. She gave a big encouraging smile and a big thumbs up. "You're gonna do great, Zak!"

"Thanks Lya!"

"You too, Bad!"

"Aw thank you."

They hid back behind the stage and soon the room started filling up with people. Almost everyone was somewhere between the ages of ten to twenty.

"Skeppy.. I.. I don't know if i can do this." Bad said, shaking.

"Hey.." Skeppy placed his hand gently on Bads cheek. "You're gonna do amazing."

Bad looked up into his eyes, "Skeppy.. I.."

"Bad. You are the most amazing, kindest, funniest person I've ever met. These people watch your streams all the time. They know and love you almost as much as I do. If you do anything embarrassing, no ones going to care. This is one of the safest environments for you to be in." Skeppy smiled. "Besides. I'll be by your side the entire time, and if you get nervous, you can hold my hand under the table." He winked.

Bad blushed and started to say something, but was cut off by the announcements. "Is everyone ready to see BadBoyHalo and Skeppy!?"

The audience cheered.

"Told you they love you." Skeppy whispered before grabbing Bad's hand and running out onto stage.
