Chapter 10, Day off and Confrontations

A few days went by but nobody had seen you since the day of the incident. You locked yourself in your room, refusing to show your face to anybody or anything for that matter.

"(F/n), the rest of us are heading out. You sure you dont want to join us?" Endou knocked lightly on your door.

"Go away..." your voice was just barely audible throught the door. Endou sighed before walking away.

You sighed and unwillingly dragged yourself off the floor, making yourself look decent enough to go out. "Mine as well find Fudou...or those two." you groaned. Slowly but surely you made your way down stairs and out the door with an apple in hand.

Fudou's POV

(F/n) has kept herself locked up in her little den for so long I didn't notice how much I actually enjoyed having her around before. She can keep up with my level and sarcasm, she always knows what to say and when to say it, I feel happier and more at ease when shes around. I hate to admit it but, I think i've fallen hard for her. I continued my jog but stopped abruptly when I noticed a man getting into a car not that far from where I was standing. He seemed so familiar.....wait that's...

Your POV

You managed to track down Fudou but just before you could approch him you noticed a man with long blond hair stepping into a car. He turned and smirked at you before closing the door and driving off. That...that was....you felt sick to your stomach and turned on your heals, making a mad dash for a soccer field not to far from here. Fudou cursed as he saw your reteating figure and ran after you.

You stood in the middle of the field, shaking in a cold sweat. So it was true, he really is here! Before you could try to proccess anything else a low voice crept its way to your ears.

"You've grown well, (L/n) (F/n)." his voice made you sick just from hearing it. Fudou reached the field and stood near by listening to your conversation. Sadly though is what you all didn't notice was the two others listening nearby as well.

"What do you want, Kageyama!" you snarled at him, turning to glare at the damned creature before you.

"Nothing actually. Even if you did have something I wanted, it would be non of your concern for now." he smirked and walked away leaving you trembling in your spot. You fell to your hands and knees in confusion and frustration.

"Damn you Kageyama!!!!" you screeched at the top of your lungs. Fudou slowly made his way over to you, kneeling beside your already fragile body.

"Fudou, your not working with him...are you?" you looked up through your bangs sadly. You felt like just giving up right then and there. But you knew you couldn't, not until you knew Neko was gonna be ok and those demons where locked away for good.

"No, why would i?" He frowned. You hated being weak infront of him. He's your rival, your friend, and your first crush.

"I...don't know...." you murmured. Your stomach gave a loud growl, causing Fudou to sigh.

"I'll treat you to lunch, figuring you've barley eated anything lately.." Fudou offered his hand to you. You stared at him before grasping his hand tightly and standing up to face him.

"Thank you, Fudou-Kun" you blushed.

"Don't worry about Neko. He's a strong kid. We'll find him soon but for know just concentrate on the next few matches ok" He muttered. You smiled through tears and nodded.

"Thanks...skunk-kun" you giggle. He grumbled and grabbed your hand.

Fudou's POV

Her hand's soft and warm...damn it all, concentrate!

"Skunk-kun" she giggled. I sighed and dragged ger to a nearby café. We sat at one of the tables near the window and i stared at her as she looked around.

"Hello what would you like today" A waitress stood beside our table, smiling.

"Water" I grunted. She nodded and wrote on her note pad.

"And you miss?"

"Tea please" she spoke softly. The waitress nodded and left to retrieve our drinks.

(F/N) turned her head to meet my gaze, "Fudou do i have something on my face?" she tilted her head to the side.

"No" I crossed my arms. She smiled but didnt say anything, she only stared out the window. I wonder what she's thinking.
