We got home and I headed straight to the kitchen because I was so hungry, we only got snacks at the mall and not proper food. The rest followed behind.
'So, you're not going to tell us what happened back there?' Juanita asked, looking very inquisitive.
'Yes, we all saw how you two looked at each other' Mandy said
'They are definitely in love' Mariam added.
'How did you meet and what did you guys talk about?' Ana added with a curious smile.
They kept throwing questions at me as I sat on the counter with an irritated look.
'Listen, guys, just chill it was just an accident, I was going out to... uh... to... I was going to the washroom and I bumped into him and he helped me get up since I landed on my butt, but nothing special.
You guys' better stop hallucinating' I explained.
'Ugh, you're so boring, so you didn't even try to start a convo with him. I mean he's so good looking why would you let him go away just like that' Juanita hissed.
'You know how unromantic she is; she knows nothing about boys.' Mandy remarked
'Well she'd have to learn very soon because we are going to school tomorrow' Ana
'don't worry I've got her back; I can help her.' Juanita said smacking her lips together.
'It seems like y'all are not sleepy, so bye I'm off to bed because we have to wake up early for school and we don't want to miss the bus' Mariam said whiles walking away.
'But why can't one of the chauffeurs just take us?' Juanita asked with an annoyed look.
'Because our parents want us to live a simple school life and not show off' Ana answered.
'Ok bye, you guys can keep talking I'm joining Mari' with that, I got down from the counter and started walking towards the room.
The rest followed immediately after.
NEXT MORNING:
"Woooo Ohhhhhhhh ohhhhhhh oh ohhhhh yeahhhhh baaa aaa bbbbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyy" followed by a deafening heavy metal guitar sound, which hit my ears like a rock.
We all pop up at the sound of this terrible noise.
'What the... what nonsense is this? Can't we get a peaceful sleep in this house no more?' Juanita scowled.
'Can someone please stop this noise' Mandy added
'Where is this coming from?!' Ana exclaimed, covering her head with a pillow.
'Let's go check it out I said in a sleepy tone crawling out of bed
We all stood up walking towards the hideous sound while Mariam lay there sleeping like a rock.
We got to the living room and saw the nanny using a mop stick as a guitar and pretending to be a rockstar.
I stared at the clock it was exactly 5:30 a.m. The worst part is that she connected her phone to the Bluetooth speaker and turned the volume up.
Juanita walked over to where the speaker was and turned it off and glared at the nanny with red sleep-deprived eyes. Right there, the nanny knew it was over for her.
'You!' Juanita said in a harsh tone pointing her finger at Olivia (our nanny)
'Ever since you've come to this house you've done nothing! Nothing! But caused sleepless nights. What is your purpose here huh? You do nothing, the maids do all the work and you don't even look after us, you don't take care of us, you just leave us here most of the time and go to that useless, futureless boyfriend of yours.'
Juanita Rattled out.
'Juanita calm down please' Ana said as she realized how angry Juanita was
'CALM DOWN FOR WHAT? SHE'S GETTING PAYMENT FOR A JOB SHE'S NOT EVEN DOING AND SHE SPENDS THAT MONEY ON ALCOHOL AND THAT USELESS BOYFRIEND OF HERS!' Juanita shouted with her light-skinned face showing a little shade of red.
'What's going on here and why is Juanita blushing?' Mariam asked, leaning on the door entrance while yawning and pointing to Juanita whose face was showing some shade of crimson.
''We are having a tea party' I replied sarcastically and she rolled her eyes at me.
'I want you to respect yourself, if you even know what that is, and leave this house right now!' Juanita said while trying to calm down, still glaring at Olivia.
Olivia tried to look at each of us to gain sympathy, but this time no one could save her.
'As she said, get your stinky ass out of here, respectfully.' I retorted
'uh... she didn't say stinky ass' Ana retorted with a frown on her face.
She doesn't like it when we cuss but at that moment everyone was angry. I ignored her and kept glaring at Olivia. Then the glaring was interrupted by Mandy's question which came with a calm voice like the cool morning breeze of an ocean.
'Miss Olivia, do you want me to do you the honor of kicking your butt out?' Mandy said in a calm voice staring at her as if expecting her to answer.
'Olivia, please be quick about this, we have school to attend.' Mariam stared with a blank expression.
We all watched as she turned and walked toward her room.
'Just leave now!' Olivia halted as she heard Juanita shout at her and her heart did a somersault.
'We'll have your stuff sent to you.' Juanita continued gesturing toward the door.
As she runs out with her pajamas and we all watch her leave.
'now that she's gone, how are we going to tell our parents?' Ana asked with a worried look.
'How are we going to tell her that we missed the bus on the first day of school?' Mariam said lazily gesturing towards the clock.
We stared with wide eyes as we watched the clock hit 6:15 am, and it hit us that the bus would be here at 7:00. We all started panicking.
Because there were many washrooms in the house, we all split in different directions and within 30 minutes we were all dressed and having breakfast while conversing.
As time flew by we heard one of the security men speak through the security speaker telling us that the bus was just 2 minutes away.
We took our school bags and headed outside just in time to catch the bus. There were only a few students on the bus and it felt so quiet and weird.
We took our seats and then the journey started the driver made stops to pick up the other students as soon as they joined the bus.
Then a whole market started, they started talking and playing games and the place was so noisy and we all seemed to be annoyed by this.
After a few minutes we reached school and since we decided to sit in the front row we got down first.
I was so relieved I was out of that market.
'There's no way I'm boarding this bus again; I'd rather walk to school' Juanita said with an irritated look.
'Me too!' we all said in unison.
We looked around and saw that some of the students rode to school and others were dropped off by their parents.
Ana smiled as if a light bulb hit her.
'aha! What do you think about riding to school? that would also help us become very fit and it's fun as well' Ana exclaimed with a wide smile looking at our faces for approval.
'We have a gym at home and you don't even go there' Mandy retorted
'I think it's ok with me and we can also get to talk on the way besides look at those cute boys over there, they ride bikes too' Juanita said grinning at the boys who were already staring at us.
'I'm in too' I said
The rest nodded in agreement. And we all walked into the school. As we walked down the corridor we noticed the head turning towards us.
We heard a loud ring and students started moving toward their various classes. And we all waved at each other and parted into different classes.
